This excellent pizza perfectly exemplifies the "less is more" philosophy. Each bite reveals the care taken with high-quality ingredients, allowing individual flavors to shine without overwhelming the palate and without excessive cheese.
The crust strikes an ideal balance - thin enough to be crisp at the edges while maintaining a pleasant chewiness. It's clear the dough was given proper time to develop, with subtle notes of fermentation adding complexity and it is so light too.
The ingredients are fresh, simple and impactful. Each element serves a purpose, from the peppery bite of fresh basil to the rich umami of properly cured meats. Nothing feels superfluous or competes for attention.
What truly elevates this pizza is the obvious attention to technique - the high-heat bake creates beautiful leoparding on the crust while ensuring all ingredients meld together harmoniously. It's a masterclass in letting quality ingredients speak for themselves.
We also love the vegetarian and vegan options and the creative mix of ingredients.
We have ordered three times and will do it...
Read moreWe had huge expectations for this restaurant. However, the disappointment was real. At first we waited around 30 minutes to get a table. This was okey as we didn't make any reservations up front. But after the waitress took our orders, we waited over one hour to get them. No-one came to ask if we were ok/wanting to order more drinks while waiting, no-one told us for the extra long waiting time either. Finally when the pizzas came, they tasted decent. Obviously disappointing but as we were already so hungry, we couldn't care less how they tasted. After payment (way too expensive for those pizzas) we went outside to wait our drive back to hotel, and one of the waiters was so rude for this one food delivery guy, who was waiting for his customer's orders. It was so uncomfortable to be there as a customer next to them hearing everything of their disagreements. These kind of situations does happen when people are interacting , but I believe there is a better place to solve these issues than in front of your paying customers. If something good to say - the wine...
Read moreAfter visiting all the top PIZZA in Berlin, encouraged by the many good reviews, we decided to also visit Standard. We ordered 2 pizza: with truffles and labraesola. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. After the first slice of pizza, I was not able to eat more. The ingredients were of low quality, the pizza was tasteless. Not sure why so many positive reviews and the popularity of this place. The price is inadequate to the quality. Definitely not worth it.
Neapolitan pizza is distinguished by the use of DOP certified ingredients. Here I did not see such information in the menu. And it is very important not to mislead customers.
The cheese on the bottom of the pizza was sort of dried out, and the Neapolitan pizza is distinguished by its use of type, which is creamy.
We paid €51 for two pizzas and two waters (with lemon, ginger and honey).
People are very nice and helpful, the place is clean and pleasant. But still, this is not...
