This place is the bee's kneeeees! We've only ordered from them through Lieferando, but it will be at the very top of our priority list once restaurants start to open again for dining. It is worth every penny of the only slightly more expensive prices. My wife and I order from them for special occasions at home (most recently for our little U.S. Presidential Inauguration celebration - just the two of us) and every time we order from them, the food shows up fresh and truly inspiring! I have not found a sushi restaurant with such subtle mastery of their own cuisine as this place in Berlin. And their unique stamp on their cuisine is accomplished without going crazy with Western influence. It still feels incredibly honest to Japanese traditions but just with this extra level of excellence - a subtle and perfectly complimenting sauce, or a unique way of presenting a dish, or that one ingredient you can't quite identify that they must've steamed their vegetables in, but it is just perfection. Thank you so much for going above and beyond, Sticks'n'Sushi! Your consistency of excellence is appreciated with every slow bite we take of your food. Side note: My wife eats fish and usually gets at least one roll with fish in it, but I am a strict vegetarian and I am still able to order with every bit of confidence that I'll be blown away with the eating experience. The order in the picture: 1 Greenkeeper, 1 Inari Nigiri, 1 Kinoko Nigiri, 1 Chirashi

I went there today for the first time and I am not sure if I’m going to go again. I’ll just point out what I liked and what I didn’t like from my visit at Sticks&Sushi. I saw the menu online and was really looking forward to trying the food. Looked promising. What I liked about this restaurant: +The staff were super sweet and kind. My waitress was really thoughtful and took good care of me. +The sushi was fresh and delicious, although - somewhat small pieces. +There is a gluten free menu! +Location of the restaurant is also good, one can get there easily with the public transport. Now, about what I didn’t like: -I ordered sparkling water, but I got just normal water. No problem. It seemed like it was tap-water. The waitress confirmed. I said I don’t drink tap-water, even if it was filtered, so I asked kindly for bottled water. They don’t have bottled water at all. There is just tap-water. Did not expect that. -I ordered a glass of white wine. Now, I know in Berlin one cannot expect to get even half full glass of wine in any restaurant, but what I got there was obscenely tiny portion. This was even for Berlin offensively little amount of wine, and the glass was just a normal one. See picture… -The chopsticks were cheap and they didn’t feel nice in the hand. Did not expect that for the price category. -I ordered one of the menus. It was served in two courses. The first course was announced as the cold one, the second one - the warm course. Well, they were both cold, and if the temperature was referred to only to point out the method of preparation of the food, then it really makes little to no difference to me, as in the end I’m eating a whole menu that’s plain cold. -The salmon stick was disappointingly salty. Down went the glass of wine there :) -finally, I felt like the biggest portion from the whole menu was the edamame and mushrooms portions… not cool. - oh, and the ambience was also somewhat cold. So despite that the staff were super kind and that the fish was fresh, I was left unimpressed at Sticks&Sushi. Good service and fresh food is just the bare minimum. Sorry guys, just two stars from me.

Strange experience. Mix between casual and fine dinning, but the price would make you think definitely amazing service and amazing food. Yet service was just ok, although they did get busy, I don't see how that's our fault. Our main waiter was attentive and nice, but stretch thin among all the tables, and the support staff was just awkward, e.i. the girl that brought our appetizers seemed like she could barely name the dish, and only after we looked at her expecting her to explain it, she just muttered the dishes names. Also found it a bit strange that some of the staff wore T-shirts with slogans, and others button shirts. I would have expected such casual wear for the price. Finally the food, we ordered 2 appetizers, 2 menu sets, and some stick, plus sake. I can sadly say the only a few things were remarkable, everything else was just mediocre, even though we got such a variation of dishes. I wasn't expecting that for that price. In Japan, a much cheaper restaurant would have been probably much better, but they are perfectionistbover there, here they're just a branch from a Danish restaurant. I was really hoping for a great experience, yet it's was nothing special, shame.

This is my first time at sticks and sushi. Starting with good points. The interior is beautiful. The service is also very good (taking coats, refilling drinks etc). The food is not that good. Some of it seems bad. The menu is super long and complicated. For people who just want nigiri, there isn't a good set menu to order out of the vast number of set menus available. The fish quality is decent. The rice is a bit soft for sushi. My biggest gripe is the sticks. Some of them are covered (drenched) in this brown sugary sweet sauce that makes it so you can't taste anything else. Not just that stick, the rest of your meal you can't taste anything else because it's so sickly sweet and lingering. They also put this sauce on some of the rolls. Decent place for a fancy night out I guess but if you just want sushi, probably not the go to in Berlin.

The food here was divine, by far the best sushi I have had the pleasure to enjoy in Berlin. We came to celebrate a fair well for a colleague, we were a group of 6, as we arrived the server greeted us with a smile and was really attentive, I don't think we had to look for 1 second to make an order, everything was just perfectly timed. We ordered two plates of selection of sushi and other amazing treats and we ordered many delicious drinks. The fish, the meat, the sauces and the flavours all mixed together in amazing symphony in my mouth! It was quite an experience The waiter also was so sweet and helped with a special decorative cocktail for my colleague as a mini special surpise Thank you for having us! It was truly a pleasure

So far this is the best sushi I had in Berlin. Both delivery and eating at the restaurant, the quality and flavours are amazing. Even their vegan options are great and super creative, not just cucumber maki. The service at the restaurant is top notch and very attentive. Our Japanese waiter shared little facts about his culture while preparing the matcha at our table. The staffs T-shirts say to leave room for dessert, which is hard haha but so worth it! The innovative sourdough ice cream was delicious. Walked out of this place regretting not having been here before as everything from start to finish was immaculate 👌I will not be having sushi from any other place now!
