We arrived and were greeted straight away. There was an array of delicious looking Italian treats and cakes on display and an easy to read coffee menu. After our order was taken we walked to the outside seating where we could listen to the bells of the old church right across the street. The food looked amazing and you could tell it had been fresh. We had a tiramisu cake which was alcohol free and a raspberry-pistachio cake which was vegan. Finally coffee which was made with an old Italian espresso machine and a vegan matcha latte all to top it off. It was so good we returned the next day! Although it was pretty busy since it was lunch time we got some quick service, impeccable food and so much friendliness. Their apple tartlets are delightful, but it’s the cannoli that truly stand out—easily the best I’ve ever had. Unlike so many others, these cannoli are not overfried or greasy; instead, the shell is perfectly cooked, soft yet structured, while the chocolate cream inside has a wonderfully smooth texture and just the right level of sweetness. On a rainy day I was walking through Bonn and again ended up at this cozy café. It’s a wonderful place to take a little break while treating yourself to some fresh italian baked goods or read a book while drinking a delicious chai/matcha latte! They even got vegetarian and vegan options (drink and food wise!). I’m don’t drink coffee myself but still it has come to my attention that they’re also very popular for their coffee, as it is traditionally made. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
