Il Golfo Cantinetta — Restaurant in Dortmund

I dont know about the food. We didnt try it because we left immediately. The reason? We've been treated like we are at the butcher's. We got inside and we asked for a table for 2. They put us in the back of the restaurant. On a table that was not set. We sat on the table and the menu cards were thrown on the table from distance, as the waiter was bored to service properly. The waiter said something in italian to his colleague who then turned and looked at us. Really rude to talk in front of the customers about them in a language they dont understand. I felt embarrassed, especially for my guest who, thank god, took it nicely. Now me being also a very relaxed person, I said "let's go somewhere else". So we left. When we stood up they also said something in italian, the waiter looked annoyed and he waved his hand saying something with a rude tone. NOT to reccomend. I consider the opinions very important for both the owner and the customers. The food is good and so is the attitude of the staff, however they could be more organized. We arrived 20 minutes early to the restaurant to see if it was possible to use our reservation, as there were several empty tables. They told us not to come back at 7 o'clock, when we came back first they were going to take us to a table and then they gave us another one of those that were empty since the first time we arrived... in general everything was fine, but the service was too slow, difficult to order even water since we didn't see the waiter very regularly, the food took more than 1 hour. I know these dates are complicated but it wouldn't be bad to hire more staff to meet normal...

Ja… Was soll ich dazu sagen… Ich dachte mit den positiven Dingen: der Wein war wirklich lecker! Ansonsten (wird wahrscheinlich einfach an dem Tag gelegen haben) ist wirklich alles schief gelaufen, was schief laufen kann. Zum einen hat es eine Ewigkeit gedauert, bis das wir unsere Bestellung endlich aufgeben konnten. In der Zwischenzeit wurde uns aber auch einmal dann schon die Speisekarte weggenommen, ohne dass wir eine Bestellung aufnehmen konnten. Und dies auch noch obwohl wir extra gesagt hatten, wir wollten bestellen. Dann wurde uns eine Flasche Wein serviert, aber leider in drei Etappen. Erst hat der Kellner uns die verschlossene Flasche vorbeigebracht, dann ging der Kellner weg… Dann wurde der Flaschenöffner geholt und die Flasche aufgemacht, da ging der Kellner weg… Später kam er dann noch mal wieder und goß (wie es sich gehört)uns was zum probieren ein. wir probiert, dann war er wieder weg, und kam dann irgendwann wieder zu uns und hat uns eingeschenkt . Endlich konnten wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben. Nach einer langen Zeit (was an sich natürlich nicht schlimm ist, wenn der Laden voll ist) Bekam ich dann meine lauwarme Pizza. Meine Partnerin bekam deutlich später erst ihr Saltimbocca. Als meine Pizza geliefert wurde, war sie schon nur noch lauwarm. Auch das Saltimbocca kam in zwei Etappen. Zuerst die Hauptspeise, dann einige Zeit nichts und dann noch die Beilagen. Derweil hatte ich kritisiert, dass die Pizza wirklich schon deutlich zu kalt sei. Daraufhin wurde sie einfach in den Ofen gestellt. Das hat sie auch nicht besser gemacht…

Sicherlich werden wir einfach nur Pech gehabt haben. Aber es war so viel Pech, dass wir keine Lust mehr haben in dieses Restaurant zu gehen. Schade eigentlich… Wir hatten uns mehr davon erwartet!
