Just had the worst dining experience in Dresden, in Ocakbasi Altstadt. We hosted a family friend from other country in the restaurant. We had to wait for 90 mins before the food arrived, and everything were already cold. I had to come to take our forks and knives by myself since it was not provided with the food. One of our order never arrived. When the staff was confronted, the answer was simple: "we need more time!". We looked around, there are so many tables without food and every now and then there are people obviously complaining about the same thing too.
After dinner, our 2 year old baby cried and suddenly, another guest from the next table was so angry and rudely banged our table and provoked a heated conversation. The staff did absolutely nothing to help and in the end, the staff mentioned to me "oh it is just a problem between you and them, we had nothing to do with it".

Read moreGreat value and tasty food. Overall 9 out of 10.
Service was neutral. Nothing super amazing nothing particularly bad. Straight to the point. Take the order and answered questions.

First time I ordered the combo with basically all the meats. It was a lot of food for €22. Second time I ordered the spicy lamb. It was one skewer and was perfect for a light lunch. €16.50 (wasn’t spicy).
Every time the plates were served with rice, barley, yogurt, onions, half a roasted tomato, a bowl of salad, and a roasted pepper (which had a good kick). Then there was a type of flat bread for the table to share with...
Read moreI really enjoyed the place as the service and food were both great. Food was delicious and all the meats were tender and juicy. Even though the staff didn’t speak much English, they were still very accommodating and trying to help.
I was also initially reluctant to go as the prices looked a bit on the higher end but then unexpectedly they served us starters of an oven baked bread of some sorts with some dips and salad with no extra cost. So overall it turned out around 25 euros per person (with drinks but without dessert) and we were stuffed. So overall, I’m very satisfied.
Though for someone having no meat in their diet, in my opinion, the restaurant doesn’t have...
