Pho Viet — Restaurant in Dresden

My friend and I just arrived in Dresden that day. We were looking for a place for lunch, while we were on the way to our apartment. We passed through an alley with lots of restaurants and found this Vietnamese by restaurant. Here are what we ordered :

Rice Noodle with Betel Leaf Rolls with Minced Beef, Herbs, Peanuts and Home-made Sauce : The rice noodle had nice texture. The filling of the betel leaf rolls was aromatic. The greens and herbs were so fresh. The sauce was well-balanced, led by the savoriness and sweetness then rounded off by the sourness. The presentation was pleasing to the eyes.

Pho Beef Noodle Soup : The rice noodle had pleasant texture. There were decent amount of tender beef slices. The broth was flavorful with the right amount of spices. The spring onion added freshness to the dish.

Deep-fried Wontons with Sweet Chili Sauce : The skin could have been slightly thinner. The taste of the filling was acceptable. The sweet chili sauce was well-balanced. The presentation was nice.

Overall the dishes had good performance. The restaurant also had a relaxing ambience. It was the service that was rather disappointing. My friend asked for extra fresh Thai chilies and lime wedges to enjoy her pho beef noodle soup. When she made the request, the face of the waiter became...

Me and my friend were roaming around Neustadt and trying to find something for late lunch. Based on our food craving we decided on Pho Viet. I ordered rice noodles with Lalot rolls and mango Lassi for a drink. At the moment unable to recall what my friend had for her meal but it was something vegetarian.
