This isn’t the review that I was hoping that I was going to be writing about this restaurant.

I have been to quite a few Michelin star restaurants. In Germany and other places in the world. I was very excited about visiting this one.

The ambience in the restaurant itself is OK but not outstanding.

The server seemed a little discombobulated and quite confused about the wine menu at first.

We went with the full tasting menu, including the wine pairing.

The menu wasn’t horrible by any means the food was all very well thought out and very delicious. However, I didn’t find anything to be over-the-top memorable. I felt more than one dish to be a bit of a miss.

When you come to a restaurant of this caliber, you typically expect every single dish to be top-notch.

I do feel that this restaurant is trying to go very veg forward. Which I do appreciate, however, it doesn’t seem like it was quite the focus therefore, it made it a little bit complicated. If the goal was to go veg forward, that should’ve been the full concept the whole way through.

Both my partner, and I agreed that nothing was standing out in our minds as something that we would think about forever.

That is not to say that we had a bad meal. It was very, very lovely. Just not what I expected of a restaurant of this kind.

There was a little chocolate peanut at the end, and I would have to say that that was my favorite part. Which is strange because in a menu such as this, a tiny little bonbon should not really be the best part.

The shift did seem very polite. He came over and said hello. Again, I am not saying that this was bad by any means, I am just saying that there are better Michelin star...

We went there for the New Year Eve dinner. We communicated with Agata herself to book a table via email. She was very informative and friendly sounding.

The location is accessible via U-bahn or taxi, we went there on foot. Agatas is located next to the Livingston hotel in the lower city.

The atmosphere and decor that evening was very pleasant. The seating was spacious and very comfortable. We were given the menu for the evening and welcome our first experience.

The staff is super friendly and efficient. Agatas came over to say hello as well. That was a nice surprise.

The food was delivered with perfect timing. The food, excellent. It was a fusion type of meals, west with a dash of Japan. The blending of this fusion combination was really well. The food presentation was artistic and creative.

It is also a Michelin star award place. I loved my experience there and will be going back for their other menus that you can find on their webpage. I am assuming they have seasonal menu on top of special occasion menu like the New Years Eve.

Do visit them when you are in Düsseldorf, especially on an evening of special occasion or.when you want a...

Doch halt, was sehen unsere entzündeten Augen da?
