Located in a very convenient spot in Altstadt. Rhine Promenade is 2 minutes walk and almost all the things under the sky are available in this area for shoppers. About the food; the Chicken Schnitzel was decent in taste and texture. The meat was well marinated and tender. Sweet Potato fries went along just fine and these were better than your regular Potato fries. Weizen beer was all that was needed to wash it all down, which was good as well. You can't go wrong with Weizen. The staff was friendly albeit a little overstretched and the place was full. You need to bide your time because it might take over 30 minutes for your orders to arrive, especially on weekends. There's plenty of seating for everybody and all group sizes but you might not get your desired seating. Also, you need to book in advance via their app online, because walk-ins are rarely entertained. Overall, a good restaurant for some good food and good time but not a regular get-together joint. It's a tad heavy on the wallet.

I was between 2 and 3 stars because of the design and decor (it is a really beautiful place) but in the end, it's a restaurant and for me rating is connected with two things: food and service. In general neither the beer neither the meal that I chose weren't available (which is strange for 18.00 on Friday). Again, this may happen but in a well organized place it shouldn't. We ordered two different schnitzels, mushrooms and a pretzel. Food was really average. I cannot say that the schnitzel was neither cooked enough neither tasty. Furthermore, obviously something was wrong with the breading (again a little shocking considering that schnitzel occupies most of the menu) but the worst was the service. After we ordered and while we were eating, they brought (multiple times) different plates and drinks that we never ordered (apparently all these were orders from other tables). Every 10' they had to disturb us to bring things that we never ordered. Finally, while we were talking for something important, the waitress decided to interrupt us just to ask if it's ok to gather the plates :). It's really a pity such a nice place to have so average food and so bad service. I really liked the place and hoped that I found something that I can visit often but I was wrong. I'll give it a second chance and come with an update.

We ate here today (without a reservation). I was really looking forward to having an authentic schnitzel from Germany, and based on the good reviews, I had higher expectations. My pork schnitzel was very bland, and I had to add salt and pepper to give it some flavor . I had never eaten such tasteless meat before. The other dish was a crispy chicken burger, but it was also quite bland; without the sauce, it would have been nothing. Paying for the toilet in a restaurant? You don't see that in the Netherlands... It's quite strange. The service was very friendly. The restaurant was quite busy and noisy, but I don't consider this a downside. Another downside: I went through all the effort of translating the menu and spoke to the staff in English, but I wasn’t offered an English menu. Who knows, maybe the "bland schnitzel of the house" was on the menu, haha.

Wir haben für ein Essen gebucht, zu einem JGA (Junggesellenabschied) am 04.05.2024. Wie sicher dem einen oder anderem sicher auch schon passiert, läuft nicht immer alles nach Plan an solch einem Abend. Irgendetwas, ist ja immer :-). Aber was das "HeimWerk", sein Team und die Küche dann aus diesem Abend gemacht hat, war einfach eine 20 von 10 möglichen Punkten. Ganz besonderen Dank an dieser Stelle nochmal an Leon, Prince, der unbekannten lieben Servicekraft, der Küche und dem Koch. Wir waren zu 11 Personen (Im Alter von 20 – 54) und alle vom Personal waren Mega Aufmerksam und haben sich von A-Z um unser Wohlergehen gekümmert. Allein das, ist heute schon ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. Egal um was es ging, Tisch, Platz, Getränke Wünsche, Beilagen, alles war einfach perfekt. Jede noch so kleine Anekdote, wurde sofort wahr genommen und sofort mit eingebunden. Beispiel: Ich bin aufgestanden, um von unserer Truppe ein Bild zu machen; Sofort stand eine junge, sehr freundliche Dame (Name leider nicht bekannt) neben mir und bat mir an, dass Sie auch ein Bild von uns machen kann, sodass ich mich auch dazu setzen kann….. Auch bei Getränken, die nicht einmal ansatzweise auf der Karte existieren, gab es sofort ohne wenn und aber Hilfe. Beispiel: Ich als Einzelperson hätte mir gern einen Spiced Rum mit Cola gewünscht. Leon, einer unserer zuständigen Servicekräfte, bat mir sofort Hilfe an und sagte, darf ich etwas organisieren? Und er organisierte und lieferte ab. TOP. Jeder der schon einmal in der Gastronomie tätig war, weiß das sehr wohl zu schätzen und erkennt daran, dass ist für dieses Team nicht nur ein Job, sondern Leidenschaft. Auch der liebe „Prince“ war immer und überall, hat permanent über alles gewacht und war sofort zur Stelle um Getränkebestellungen abzufragen und nach zu liefern. Zusätzlich sei auch erwähnt, wenn 11 Personen (im Alter zwischen 20 und >50) mit unterschiedlichen Gerichten, nicht einen einzigen Makel erwähnen, ist das sicher kein Zufall, sondern on Point. Ich darf mit 54 Jahren durchaus benennen, dass ich zum allerersten Mal ein Kalbsschnitzel ganz ohne „Topping“ , also ohne die obligatorische Zitrone genossen habe. Das wäre den Schnitzeln und dem Koch nicht würdig gewesen. Einfach perfekt. Ganz zu schweigen von den Pommes und dem Trüffel Mayo Dip. Ich schreibe wahrlich wenig Rezessionen zu Restaurants oder Küche, aber hier ist es einfach eine Pflicht, wirklich Gutes, zu belohnen. Und das zu Recht.

A bit skeptical but turn out very impressed. FOOD is great. Variety of Schnitzel. The coating was well cooked and crispy. Side dishes were good, especially sweet potatoes fries was awesome, ur chili sauce (with mayo?) was exceptional. Small improvement could be made with warm vegetable as side dish. Carrot & zucchini were a bit raw (could help with more olive oil and longer baked). KAISERSCHMAARN was very delicious (for dusseldorf standard. Couldn't go wrong Augustiner beer. So thank you for housing the beer. INTERIOR - love it. Something different. Taking the beer hall idea in contemporary twist in bar serving style. Work well with your music selections too. Staffs: friendly and attentive. Speak great English too. Keep up a great work and standard! Definitely coming back.

Complete rip off. Happy that I made a picture. Price-quality is -8 stars. Paid 18 euros for only 2 small pieces (size of an empanada) of Cordon Bleu (see picture, not even a 3rd of my plate), which is defined as a "Meal", which it is not. Added sweet potato fries, that were not included in this price. Probably a tourist trap, it's definitely not fine dining... Either include the sweet potatoes in your "Meal" price and add something like a salad, but don't sell it as a "Meal". Asked and afterwards told them something about it. Nothing changed. Reason: Taxes went up with 12%. Sad that taxes went up 12%, but still doesn't match asking this price. Service & food quality was fine, terrace was nice.
