I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Lebanese restaurant that left me with a mixed but overall positive experience. The food, for the most part, was good, but there were a few hiccups along the way. One particular issue arose when I ordered the chicken dish. Unfortunately, it arrived slightly undercooked, but the staff was quick to rectify the situation when I brought it to their attention.
Apart from that minor setback, the rest of the dishes I tried were truly delightful. The falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with aromatic flavors. The Baba ganoush was rich and creamy, with a subtle smokiness that added depth to each bite. The mousakkah, with its hearty combination of eggplant, tomatoes, and spices, was a standout.
To complement my meal, I indulged in some tea and coffee, and I must say they were absolutely amazing. The tea was fragrant, comforting, and a true delight to sip on. The coffee, rich and robust, provided a satisfying end to the meal.
What added to the overall dining experience was the restaurant's outdoor seating. As I sat outside, I could soak up the vibrant ambiance of the bustling street, immersing myself in the lively atmosphere of the city. It truly added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.
Overall, despite the initial hiccup with the chicken, my dining experience at this Lebanese restaurant was quite positive. The delicious falafel, Baba ganoush, and mousakkah showcased the restaurant's ability to deliver authentic and flavorsome Lebanese cuisine. And the exceptional tea and coffee, coupled with the vibrant street vibe, made it a...
Read moreWe went to Dusseldorf for a nice dinner and decided to try this restaurant. Unfortunately it did not live up to the rave reviews. This restaurant has so much potential! Most importantly we realized that the restaurant gets packed during dinner time and the tables are not set to social distancing standards! The table next to us was way too close so if you are trying to follow social distancing rules, then this is not the restaurant to go to. Wish we had known this beforehand because we would have chosen another restaurant!
The mezzes were the best dishes here. We tried the hummos, Baba ghanoush, mousaka, and tabbouleh. All these dishes were good. Unfortunately the main dishes we tried were not very tasty. We waited almost an hour for the kababs and steak. Instead of plating everything at the same time they prepared the kabob dish first and waited for the steak dishes to get done. So the kabob dish was brought to us all cold. We had to send it back. Instead of giving fresh kabobs, they just reheated in the microwave! We knew because we took a bite out of one of the kabobs and saw the missing piece when they brought out the microwaved kabobs. This all a rookie mistake that a good restaurant shouldn't make. The service was also really slow and it seemed like there wasn't enough staff working. We were never asked fabout drink refills or if we needed...
Read moreWent for dinner on a Monday with my 5 friends.
Food: some of the starters were delicious - the bread and dip. The olives were vinegary, not nice. My main was garlic lemon chicken but it tasted grim. Something I expect from a cheap pie. I only ate the rice. The other 5 of my friends; 1 of them really enjoyed their veggie food, 1 thought their food was ok, 3 thought their food were bland. We spent the most money at this restaurant on our 4 day trip and it was the most disappointing.
Service: we asked for bread and dips. We received the luke-warm bread first and no dip. We waited 10 min before I asked for the dip which caused the waiter to be sarcastic, trying to make a joke that I was being impatient but our bread was cold and it wasn't amusing. Food came out quickly after.
Atmosphere: we went on a Monday so it wasn't busy and can't knock it for that. There was a thick cover of dust over the fans above us which was...
