Daheim in der Affentorschänke — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I visited Daheim in der Affentorschänke and was very impressed! From the very first moments, you can feel the cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality. Here’s what I enjoyed the most: • Staff – extremely friendly, polite, and attentive. Always happy to help and give recommendations. • Interior and atmosphere – the design perfectly combines traditional and modern elements. The lighting, furniture, and music create a homely and comfortable vibe. • Quality of food and drinks – everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared. You can really see the care in both ingredients and presentation. • Cleanliness and organization – the whole place is tidy and well-kept; it’s clear they care about the guests’ comfort.

I highly recommend it for an evening with friends, a family gathering, or simply to relax and enjoy delicious food in a cozy spot. I’ll definitely come back...

Ate here as part of a business event, and was very impressed with the ambience - there appear to be real paintings on the wall, and there is a real traditional feel to the whole place. The staff are well-dressed, friendly, prompt and helpful, and though they get confused sometimes (understandable with the noise level - the restaurant isn't very large and fully enclosed) they always straighten it out before any actual mistakes can happen. I was looking forward to eating here as the restaurant prides itself on directly listing the local suppliers of its ingredients and on making everything from scratch as far as possible, and the food was indeed good - my biggest complaint is that I wish there'd been more! The Apfelwein was also delicious. I would not eat there again at the prices charged, but I did enjoy my time there and would gladly accept an invitation to go...

Not a big fan of Germany cuisine, not a fan of pork knuckle, so I didn’t expect too much, turns out this restaurant is pretty good.

The famous pork knuckle was delicious, the skin was extremely crispy like suckling pig, yet the meat was quite tender, which was impressive.

The Frankfurt Green sauce is like cold soup, I think it taste pretty good as a sauce, a bit weird as a dish 😂 But I guess this is their traditional dish?

I love their sour herring 👍 Potatoe soup 👍

The portion is very generous, so we couldn’t finish the pork knuckle 😅
