Food is pretty good for airport standards. Having said that… I didn’t read the other reviews before going, but to echo many others, DON’T use the QR code on the tables to order food. The waitresses scold you for using it. After not receiving my beer for 15 minutes, my waitress, Tiziana replied with “You ordered with the code, I don’t know what you got” and walked away. I normally wouldn’t say their name, but she is a terrible person. Doesn’t smile and made me scared to speak up and ask for things. If you hate your job that much, just quit. I’m sure I’ll get the same canned reply from management saying “we will talk to the team.” This issue has been going on for months. Either take the QR codes away or train your staff better. It’s outrageous to get yelled at by the staff for using the QR code. Ridiculous.

This restaurant has a first-come-first-serve ideology. It’s a battlefield in terms of finding a table that is free instead of them seating guests as they come. Of course, this allows them to maximize the amount of business they get while attending only to the guests already seated. There is a large selection of food choices from burgers, to schnitzel, to Wurstsalat, to fish & chips. Almost anyone will find *something* on the menu they like. I was surprised they didn’t have Käsespätzle. Service is pretty quick once you are seated and they do a good job of cleaning/sanitizing the table before you order. I had the 2 Frikadellen, and was a bit disappointed because it was quite dry and a bit over cooked, but not bad for airport food. If you are fancying a meal between flights it is ok.

One of the few sit down restaurants airside in terminal 1 of Frankfurt Main airport. Hausmann's is at the back of a offset food area and is slightly hidden by the other establishments. Service was slow. There is a QR code for ordering too, but this didn't seem to offer the same menu choices for me, or was just hard to find them! Hausmann's offers a variety of drinks and German dishes. Delivery of your meal is quick once you have placed your order. My Weiner Schnitzel was disappointing though. The Schnitzel was deep fried and quite oily. Otherwise, beer and fries were good. The Apple Strudel was good. Power outlets for charging are also available on the back of the seats. There is no rush to finish, so it's a good place to sit if you have a long wait for a flight.

This is the illustrious Lufthansa First Class Lounge. I wish it would be easier to find, though.. 😀 When you exit Terminal A, where you most likely will be dropped by the Porsche that picked you up from your arriving flight, you have to turn to the left and start walking for about three quarters of a mile. Better check out the route on the internet, depending on your arrival gate at the Frankfurt Terminals. Once you arrived you are assigned a personal assistant who takes your passport and takes care of the boarding formalities, after the explanation of the Terminal itself. Then you will go through security and I promise you no lines at all. 😀 The Terminal is a composition of pure luxuriousness, even a bit on the edge of decadence. Simply great. It is very spacious, has a magnificent restaurant (had the beef filet there, but they are famous for their schnitzel with potatoe salad) and a vast set of drinks. You can even take a bath there, together with your complementary own rubber duck (you have to ask for it). That they offer very luxurious showers and mamor bathrooms I will not even mention. When your time of boarding has come you will be driven with a Porsche directly to your flight. The First Class Terminal, which has a brandnew caterer, is simply...

Terrible staff that is in charge of seating. There is a big sign that asks to wait to be seated and yet none of the 3 staff members cared to seat anyone. They were chit chatting along while there was a long line of people patiently waiting while there were plenty of tables available. Yet they left them wait. A family that looked tired and hungry even had to leave because they were not given a table all while there was more than 5 table available. Inexcusable lack of service. One of the waiters who was supposedly in charge of seating (skinny, dark hair, late 30s) even yelled rudely at a family “STOP!!” He really should not be in service. Finally sadly the Goulash I had tasted like it came out of a box. Really do not recommend this place. Terrible! I hope the management reads this and hires the right staff. The business is certainly loosing lots of money with empty available tables and a lazy staff that lets people wait and walk away...

Review: Hausmann’s Restaurant – Great Food, Disappointing Service

While traveling to Norway, I had a layover in Frankfurt and decided to grab a meal at Hausmann’s Restaurant in the airport. I ordered the roast chicken and a dessert, and I have to say — the food was genuinely impressive, especially for airport dining. Flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying.

However, the service left a lot to be desired. My waiter, Dennis, repeatedly slammed the plates and drinks onto my table with noticeable force. At first, I thought it was just a one-off moment, but it happened with every item he brought over. I made an effort to be polite and thanked him each time, but the behavior didn’t change. It was puzzling and honestly made the experience uncomfortable.

Despite the poor service, Hausmann’s remains one of the better food options at the airport. If you’re willing to overlook the attitude, the meal itself...
