Mediterraneo — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Eaten here several times before and it's been great. Not so tonight however. Booked a meal for my wife and myself as we had eaten there before and loved the food and the ambiance. So we were on a date night and really looking forward to it.

Sadly, it's been a let down. My wife's pasta was undercooked and when we mentioned it to the waiter he offered us a small portion cooked fresh. Perhaps a full portion might have been a better answer or an offer to knock it off the bill or supply an alternative. None came. A couple of the staff were borderline surly. Hence no tip.

I suspect the place may have changed hands because previously I've had great food there and wonderful service. If it hasn't changed hands then the owner needs to shake his staff up. There's no shortage of great places to eat in Frankfurt. Needless to say, I shan't be beating a path to...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fine Italian restaurant on New Year's Eve, and I was thoroughly impressed. The tuna tartar and pasta with truffle (which I could not picture) were both incredible and definitely standouts on the menu. While the other dishes we tried were good, they didn't quite reach the same level of excellence as those two dishes. The Italian staff were all friendly and helpful, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere of the evening. The decorations and interior were impeccable and really added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The location of the restaurant was also convenient, making it an easy choice for a special occasion dinner. All in all, it was a fantastic dining experience and I would highly recommend this Italian...

Diskriminierendes Verhalten!!! Aufgrund der guten Rezension im Netz entschieden meine Freundin und Ich (beide ausländischer Herkunft) das Restaurant Cucina Mediterraneo zu besuchen. Für einen Samstagabend war das Restaurant sehr schlecht besucht, eine Reservierung wäre hier nicht nötig gewesen. Der erste Eindruck war relativ gut, Die Preise waren in Ordnung nur die Trüffelpasta war mit 14,50€ vom Preis sehr gut doch der Aufpreis von 9€ für extra Trüffel finde ich dennoch sehr Happig, trotzdem haben wir zügig zur Speisekarte eine kleine Vorspeise in Form von Bruscetta bekommen. Anzumerken ist, dass jeder Gast diese kleine Aufmerksamkeit serviert bekommt. Nachdem wir beide unser Essen und unsere Getränke bestellt haben, gab es zu den Getränken noch etwas Brot in einer kleinen Schale. Zum Brot haben wir weder Olivenöl noch Salz und Pfeffer bekommen. Bei nachfolgenden Gästen sowieso bei Gästen die schon vorher im Restaurant gegessen haben, ist uns aufgefallen dass diese zum Brot, Olivenöl, Salz, Pfeffer sowie Oliven serviert bekommen haben. Doch dies ist uns natürlich erst im Nachhinein wirklich aufgefallen. Zudem wurde bei Tischen neben uns (weißen Gäste) oftmals nachgefragt ob denn alles passen würde, bei uns wurde das nicht 1 mal nachgefragt! Nachdem wir mit dem Essen fertig waren und wir uns beide sehr unwohl durch die Bedienungen fühlten, entschieden wir uns zu zahlen. Dabei ist uns ebenfalls aufgefallen dass uns keine Blicke gewürdigt werden. Nach dem Bezahlen entschieden wir uns die Bedienungen auf ihr Verhalten anzusprechen. Diese hat weder verwundert noch geschockt reagiert. Es hieß nur „dass man uns doch Bruscetta gebracht hätte“. „Das Brot mit Olivenöl, Salz, Pfeffer und Oliven gäbe es nur in Verbindung mit einem bestimmten Gericht“. Bei diesen Ausreden ist es nicht geblieben, denn er holte nochmal aus und meinte „wir hätten doch nachfragen können ob wir etwas Olivenöl, Salz, Pfeffer und Oliven haben könnten“. Wir als neue Gäste in diesem Restaurant hätten ja nicht wissen können was uns zu dem Brot noch serviert wird. Eine Entschuldigung gab es auch im Nachhinein nicht, alles nur billige Ausreden um ihr rassistisches Verhalten zu rechtfertigen!! Das Restaurant hätte meiner Meinung nach überhaupt gar keinen...
