Moka City Café — Restaurant in Frankfurt

So I ordered the „peanut butter bowl”. Sounded good, meant to be peanut butter, banana, mango, raspberry jam, granola and seasonal fruits.

I received a bowl of what was basically just mango purée and some fruit.

The amount of peanut butter was quite honestly pathetic - it was about a tea spoon, so it’s quite funny that this is called a „peanut butter bowl”. They forgot not just the jam - but the granola.

Imagine ordering carbonara, but they forget to put in the pasta.. and just give you the sauce. They literally forgot to put in the MAIN ingredient. And when I told the waitress, she asked if they should put it in 🤡. No, please, why would I want that?

Then some of the fruit still had stems on it, which normally I would not complain about but all of the above, and then also having to struggle to get the stems off while everything is covered in the mango puree was quite enraging.

And all of this entertainment, for the „low” price of €9.50. If you’re wondering, it tasted fine, but nothing special, and definitely not worth the money. All you could taste was the mango puree.

Will not be coming again, and cannot honestly recommend from this experience. At least the atmosphere...

It's the second time we come to Frankfurt with my family and we had the chance to go to this cafe! The first time we went to the shop where it is located in Sachsenhausen and the service from the girl with the red hair was very pleasant and she was also very kind to us and offered us dishes and sweets. On Sunday we went with our friends to Moka City where this shop is also incredibly beautiful and decorated and gives a beautiful breath to the city center. Its staff is also very helpful and very friendly. It has very nice coffee where they roast it themselves and very tasty handmade sweets! Unfortunately, however, we came across an incident where the owner was yelling at her staff in front of her full shop, as a result of which we all looked at the children with sadness and they themselves seemed to feel bad. I think a proper employer will take their staff and solve any problem in a more private place without risking losing customers because of their bad behavior. We and our group in particular will not prefer this particular shop again so as not to fall into such an event again and...

🤢❌ Totally disappointing, the service, the atmosphere and the bathrooms compared to the price and the location. When you see the place is really charming and when you see the prices you expect an attention that is totally worth it but unfortunately you find the reality that the service is a mess, the environment does not have so much capacity for the amount of people they let in, the only good thing is the food but it is ruined by the service again and the bathrooms that in my opinion are an important part of a place, are a real sadness. Clogged sink and toilet without toilet paper and all broken. (Photos ⬇️)

I leave totally disappointed and I do not recommend anyone to go to this place and much less consume something to pay these...
