From the minute my sister and I checked in until we checked out, the service was first class. We were surprised with a free upgrade from a junior suite to a prestige suite. The suite faced the park and was extremely large and comfortable. There was a separate bedroom and living room. There was a large bathroom (two separate sinks with lots of space for toiletries, separate shower, bathtub and toilet) and a second toilet by the entrance. There was plenty of space to work (two desks) and a very comfortable sofa and chairs. The beds were also really comfortable. Everything in the mini bar was complementary. Our room was cleaned twice day.||All staff at the Sofitel were incredibly helpful and professional. Anne from the concierge helped me book train tickets to Heidelberg. When she saw me later in the day, she made a point of coming over to me to ask how everything went. There was a very friendly man who brought our luggage to our room. He greeted us every morning when we were in the lobby and always asked how we were doing and if we needed anything. The staff at the restaurant were also incredible! The maître d' in the morning (we were there over a weekend) remembered where we liked to sit each morning and brought us everything we needed. The breakfast includes a buffet and you could order a la carte as well. We had room service a couple of times. The food arrived quickly and the people who brought the food were so nice. I also can't say enough about the people who cleaned the rooms. They came twice a day and were so thorough. The staff at the front desk were also helpful and professional.||The location was great! It was about a 15-20 minute walk to Romerberg, the Frankfurt Cathedral and Main river. It was a 2-5 minute walk to the opera house and Goethestrase (luxury boutiques). Train stations were also within a 5 minute walk. Tons of restaurants were also within a 5-10 minute walk.||I would definitely stay at the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera again. I wish I remembered everyone's names who were so helpful and made our stay special. Thank...

During my recent visit to Frankfurt, I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera, and I must say, it was a five-star experience in every sense of the word. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism, making me feel not like a guest but like a cherished friend.
One of the true highlights of my stay was George, the doorman. George is the embodiment of hospitality. From his genuine smile to his attentiveness, he ensured every detail of my arrival and departure was seamless. Whether it was opening doors with grace, assisting with luggage, or offering expert recommendations about the city, George consistently went above and beyond to make me feel at home. His charisma and dedication are unmatched, making him a true asset to the hotel.
Equally remarkable was Malu, the Head Waiter at the hotel’s dining establishment. Dining at Sofitel is always a delight, but Malu made it extraordinary. His attention to detail, extensive knowledge of the menu, and personalized recommendations were outstanding. He curated an impeccable dining experience, ensuring every course was served with finesse. Malu’s professionalism combined with his warm personality turned each meal into a memorable occasion.
The hotel itself is a masterpiece of elegance and luxury. The rooms are tastefully designed, combining modern amenities with a timeless charm. The staff across the board were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was flawless.
If you're looking for a hotel in Frankfurt that offers not just luxury but a genuine commitment to making guests feel special, Sofitel Frankfurt Opera is the perfect choice. A heartfelt thank you to George and Malu for their exceptional service—you both truly made my stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to return!

Read moreThe hotel is centrally located and is a short walk to local restaurants, is right by the opera house and a short walk to the Christmas Market. |The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly. The building is nice and bright and very modern. There is a nice bar downstairs which has a decent selection of drinks and snacks/food. ||We booked two rooms and these were both a good size, comfortable and again, spotlessly clean. ||There were a couple of downsides, check in wasn’t the greatest, as we got there around 1pm (fair enough this was early) and our rooms weren’t ready. The lady checking us in just said “you’ll have to come back at 3” |We weren’t offered a place to sit where we could grab a drink/food and a few minutes to catch our breath after all our travelling. Not necessarily a complimentary drink, just so we can purchase a coffee and some food to perk us up. So we left our suitcases and went out for a walk and grabbed a quick bite and some drinks outside of the hotel. ||We got back about 4 ish and the rooms still weren’t quite ready so we just waited around until they were. This time, the guy checking us in was a little more accommodating and said he’d get us sorted asap, as we didn’t fancy going straight out again. ||The other downside is breakfast. Again, very friendly staff but both mornings, after being seated and waiting for ages. we had to chase waiters down for them to take our orders for drinks and breakfast. |We did enjoy the food, and they do have a decent egg menu and a buffet with the normal breads, cold cuts, cheeses etc but it’s just the service seems a bit disorganised and slow. The second morning we were sat with a view to the opera house which is very nice. ||If in Frankfurt again, I think we would stay there again, but it just feels like the staff are running around very busy and some guests are left not being taken care of very much, for one reason or another. ||Not quite 5* but decent...
