BLUF: Best if you call and make a reservation, unless you like sitting at the bar. Small place and from what I can tell, family run and fills fast, it is a good date night and family place. We didn't have reservations and sat at the bar and were able to watch them prepare the food and were impressed with how efficient they worked to get food out quickly. The staff speaks German, Korean and English. We ordered Bulgogi dish, spicey fried chicken and a side of Mandu (very light and tasty). All three dishes were good, but too much to finish it. If we had known we would have not ordered the side dish. They only have 2-3 beers and a good selection of wine and Soju. They have this corndog concoction that consists of 1/2 hotdog 1/2 block of cheese that is dipped in batter, dropped into I don't know" before it is deep fried. There was a consistent line of customers ordering coming in and ordering just that to go. It is a bit higher in price and there is only on street parking which isn't...
Read moreMy first time visiting this restaurant. The place is small yet cozy. I ordered kimchi jjigae and spicy fried chicken, it was ok but it could be better if they used a few weeks fermented kimchi and more of kimchi brine than water. (The color will be more enchanting.) For me kimchi jjigae should be creamy so that you can savor more the flavor. As far as the crispy chicken with spicy glaze goes nothing really special, I was expecting that they cook the coated chicken together with the spicy sauce to bring out more the flavor rather than putting the sauce on top. I wish the side dish has more distinctive taste. Nevertheless the service personal was attentive and friendly. Although I will definitely give it another try sometime their other dishes on the menu, and maybe by then I can get a bit of taste of Korea...
Read moreOrdered 2 main course with side dish included (Panchan) but only got one. After asking for our second one, they didn't want to serve until we finish the first one. The reason being most people don't finish their Panchan. Ideally 2 person would not like to share one Panchan between us, so I asked to have the second one right away since it should be in the process already. (We all know Korean restaurant side dishes should be refilled for free at all times, but I digress). After receiving the second one, the European coleslaw was lukewarm as if it was not refrigerated and the string beans had awful taste. So there is no question why other customers were leaving them out, i don't think the portion is not the problem here,...
