Cotidiano Alter Wall — Restaurant in Hamburg

Wonderful breakfast place, modern environment, healthy choices, busy on a Sunday morning. We came in (6 people) without a reservation, I know suicidal. We just tried our luck. We had been already at Cafe Paris and the host there had a grin when he told us we should have reserved. He made us feel really weird. But at Cotidiano we met Selina, their host. After an initial look at the availability she gave us little to no hope after her table management software showed zero tables for 6. There were also 4 people waiting in front of us. She told us to wait a few minutes and started walking around looking for guests who were close to asking for the check. After a few minutes when we had lost our hope, she told us she could sit us. Is this part of her job? Yes, but she did it with such graciousness and care for guests that she may never see again, that left a fabulous first impression. The food then was very very good. The young staff all committed to good service tried to assist us with anything. Wonderful job Selina, your boss should be proud. We will remember this place...

I visited this restaurant last night for dinner with two friends. We were promptly seated at a table and handed menus. Despite already knowing what we wanted to eat, we decided to give the staff a bit more time, considering they might have been busy.

Unfortunately, we encountered a disappointing experience. Despite our efforts to get the attention of the staff, we were repeatedly ignored. When I finally managed to grab someone's attention to place our order, we were gestured to wait. Not even come to our table and say it in person to wait a little! But we patiently waited for another 10 minutes, but instead of taking our order, the staff member ignored us and proceeded to serve another table in front of us. It was frustrating to see that our simple request to order had been overlooked for so long.

Feeling ignored and frustrated, we decided to leave after waiting for almost 20 minutes. It's unfortunate because we found the menu is interesting, but the poor service overshadowed our...

Hi I am Daniela and this is my review: Really great place to meet friends. Guys and girls working here are very friendly and they also speaks English. Food was really good. The place chic. I will for sure come back again

...A little update 6 months later... I came other times here and last Sunday I decided to celebrate here my birthday with friends who were not able to during the week. Cotidiano lost the booking, they gave us a table but they were quite slow to prepare it. After a while we moved the staff on the table on side and we took place, after 10min they came to clean. Orange juice served to 4 of my friends had wood taste, they changed 2 with charge. I asked if at the end of the launch I can open my cake and we would have taken coffee and cappuccino there. They said NO :-( Eventually we went to a close bar and I blew out the candles there with coffee, cappuccino and drinks and of course my cake! Sometimes flexibility is everything in...
