A lovely and unique bar near the Elbe River in Hamburg. Having watched Channel 4's "Travelman" series of programmes, this was too good an opportunity to miss. Service was impeccable, and we sat outside as it was still warm in the first week of September. We were provided with glasses of water and sweet popcorn and then perused the cocktail menu. This place drips their alcohol over foods to imbue them with the flavour - salted peanut, for example. The enhanced alcohols are then used in bespoke and unique cocktails for the customer's pleasure. Served an incredible selection of 24 hour drip brewed cocktails, with original flavour combinations including notes of popcorn, or salted peanuts. It was hard to choose a favourite but we loved the Cucumberlada - a variation on the pinacolada (refreshing, aromatic and not sickly sweet) followed up by a piquant fiery chipotle margarita with black lava salted rim, positively medicinal.
