Ok I’m American and we do speak in hyperbole so please keep that in mind when you read this review - when I tell you the Franzbrotchen from this place was a RELIGIOUS experience. I bet all of their pastries are of equal quality because I also had a sandwich and it had the BEST bread I’ve ever had in my life. On top of that the coffee was delicious. I would come back every day. I had a flat white and it was perfectly balanced, the coffee was nice and fruity but soooo satisfying and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

icking off the “2025 german coffee tour” in the best way. loved the coffee, the cardamom bun (on par with some I’ve have in Denmark, 10/10 no notes) & the staff. they also collaborate with st. Pauli (yes, the uber cool football team) and have a special coffee with them.❤️‍🔥 there are multiple Elbgold locations in the city, so it’s impossible to miss them. must try if you’re ever in Hamburg. 🌱 instagram: @einen_kaffee_bitte

Some of the best coffee I have had, I ordered a cortado and it was delicious. The pastries are impeccable, extremely delicious and there are some pretty unique choices. It can be pretty full in the morning so since the coffee is carefully made it can take a little while in those moments, but I think it is totally worth it. A modern minimalist interior vibe with a nice bar seating. A fav for sure 🖤

It is a shame that this place have a quite good coffe, quite nice design, but the staff working on site is very unfriendly. I m quite often on site and unfortunately staff 99% of the time are pounting, no smile, long faces, never a goodbye or thank you if you bring the "dishes" back on desk lightering their job. A friendly staff makes 50% (or even more) of a healty business. It is better to be welcomed with a fake smile as with a...
