Gugu Bar — Restaurant in Hamburg

Not only the place is over priced, but the service was really bad as well. Me and my friends, a party of 11 people, tried to have some drinks on a Wednesday evening when the bar was empty and the lady serving us had an attitude from the moment she greeted us outside. We were waiting for everyone to arrive before we entered and she rushed us inside, my friends were still debating if they wanted to drink and didn’t order anything on the first row and she told us that since “we’re in a bar, they had to order or they were taking away places from others” which is weird to say to a client, since you’re serving them. being a big group our first intention was to share drinks and have more than a round of drinks. That was impossible, since she made our friends feel so out of place to not ordering that they left. Mind you, it was 2 out of 11 that didn’t order. Later, a friend of ours was approached by the man in the bar for sitting in the wrong chair? And told him people were reserving that place, when the table was literally in front of us and he made him move for no reason. Lastly, some of us were having a cigarette break outside and the lady told them they couldn’t sit outside for that (even tho, again, the place was empty.) we came to pay the bill and they wouldn’t let us split because the card payment had to be 15 Euros up, which is absolutely insane for the service they offer. My suggestion to the place is to focus on treating potential clients with more respect, otherwise I wouldn’t be surprise that the place...

PROS: Nice décor. Drinks taste good. I like the music selection. Bathrooms are clean and well equipped. They have a wide selection of alcohol-free cocktails. CONS: It can be a bit awkward if you are a woman with your partner, because all the waitresses practically have the breasts hanging out as part of their 'uniform' and are constantly leaning over to take your order. It comes across as very trashy and potentially lead to fights between the two of you about...

Very full, so a little slow with the service and a little curt from the lady of the 3, the boss was professional and cheerful, while the saving grace was the young washer upper, who was occasionally let loose in the bar. I'd been here in Spring and was very taken, wanted to show my GF a great bar. Mission not completely accomplished. My tip? Go by all means bur not...
