Very good option if you like traditional Portuguese food. Came here twice during my short Hamburg visit. Underrated from my perspective. Price/quality/portion ratio unbeatable, especially when I compare to other places that I visited in Hamburg. I ordered "púcara" plates because they are more seasoned. One time with pork and another time with lamb. They were both quite good in my opinion. I also had the opportunity to try the calamari and shrimps. I also liked it. However this might not be for everyone and I could see that when I read some comments. Avoid if the next points are a deal breaker for you. This is a traditional place with a modest atmosphere. Do not expect anything flashy. Traditional portuguese food is not vegan/vegetarian friendly. I am portuguese and I do not enjoy traditional Portuguese salad. But there are people that do. The salad is complimentary anyway. I did not try the fish, but fish in Mediterranean cuisine is very often served with a lot of olive oil or you add it yourself. If you only eat fish with remoulade or do not tolerate olive oil, then might be wise to avoid ordering fish here. It delivers on it's (traditional) promise with exceptional prices. So 5 Stars. Unfortunately I leave too far from here. Otherwise I would come more often.

A very traditional, small family-run restaurant. We went on a Saturday and ordered - a seafood salad, which was very large and very tasty - a fish soup, which tasted more like tomato juice plus a bit sea food - grilled squids (a special that day for 14 €), which was very delicious, including the potatoes (they took out the intestines of the squids) - king shrimps with white asparagus in some super delicious sauce (I think it was mainly pimentón plus yogurt) The last two dishes came with a small salad and some white bread. The fish soup was the only one I wouldn’t recommend.

Small, intimate place with inelegant Charme. Service was very prompt and friendly. The food was mediocre: tiny portions of gambas drowning in sauce (potatoes or rice are an extra order), lots of creamy sauces with a lot of fat and sugar. Good steak but served with rice and potatoes. Side salads were disappointing and reminded me of my company's cafeteria.

Food was OK, but not more, and, for what we got, on the expensive side. All of the Portuguese quarter is now a...
