I'm all for new restaurants, but there are still a lot of things for them to figure out. For this time I'll give them 3/5 with a trend towards 2/5. You can find my analysis below.
Let's start with the good aspects. The restaurant looks trendy, and the service was not bad, but this is where the good things end I think. it took us quite some time before we got our food(the food were really simple). The restaurant was pretty empty, I wonder now what would happen if the restaurant was full. We might get our food pretty late. This need some work but stilk doable.
Now let's talk about the menu. They shoukd have changed their name to "Mr. Turkish Dumpling" or "Mr. Manti" because their food only consist of turkish dumpling and a little bit about polish and russian dumpling, and I expected more variants.
I'm quite disappointed with what we ordered. If you want to try the turkish dumpling just go with the fried variances or generally just go with pierogis. Ever wonder how eating pasta with only yoghurt will taste? this will be the taste of the boiled/steamed manti. Because generally the manti have no fillings or flavor on our plate.
The price made me want to criticize their food a lot. With the amount of food, the effort to cook, and the estimated ingredient price they should have gone with a price under 10€.
Lower the amount of yoghurt, or even make the portion a little bit smaller. I wouldn't spend an extra money for an extra tastleless food.
The desserts was not bad tastewise, but the lack of the presentation, (Look at what we were promised on the menu and what we apparently got) made it almost unejoyable.
Once they fixed everything we mentioned, we might be able to give then 4 Stars.
Although in the beginning they are in a quality about 2/5,it is not fair because they are still in...
Read moreIt was amazing. I will have both good and bad impressions for the ones who like to visit here soon.
delicious dumplings from all around the world (not only Turkish) amazingly beautiful, kind and super friendly servers perfect interior space quick considering 7 people of serving time lots of choices in the menu all those 3 spices on the table were perfect for a real mantı enjoyer, and was more than enough ayran with chili was an amazing choice, it was really spicy though 🔥 I like spicy drinks, but you better be cautious buying it
ayran with rote beete (I found it not really suitable to original taste of it - sugar and salty drink made it undrinkable for me) as a Turkish person I know that classic Turkish dumplings doesn't have quite a taste alone, but it still lacks some salt on it.
First-Time Visitors
Mix those dumplings with the yoghurt and sauce, and add some spices. It will always taste like just bland dough pieces. The beauty of it however mostly comes from butter with pepper sauce, yoghurt with garlic, and lots of spices from the table (add a lot of those spices). This is the traditional way to eat it. Maybe there can be a simple guide or advice for it because it differs from other dumplings. It can be confusing, and tasteless for the non-Turkish visitors.
My Suggestions
Klassische Türkische Mantı Ayran (maybe with chili 🌶️) Baklava Toast mit Sucuk (5 Star) - but keep in mind it's like a side...
Read moreI’ve been to Mr. Dumpling multiple times now, and every single visit has been outstanding. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their dumplings are especially delicious, but honestly, everything on the menu has impressed me.One thing that keeps me coming back, besides the amazing food, is the service. There’s a lovely girl with brunette hair who’s helped me almost every time I’ve been there. She speaks English very well, is always warm and welcoming, and has given me some of the best recommendations. Thanks to her, I’ve tried dishes I wouldn’t have picked on my own. The restaurant is also very clean and well-kept, which I really appreciate. Overall, Mr. Dumpling is a gem!! fantastic food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service....
