NAGEL Restaurant and Pub — Restaurant in Hamburg

I’ve never thought my first review on google maps would be negative, but my friend an I had a very unpleasant experience last night.

The story started when we got to the restaurant no one came to host us until we asked a waitress ourselves. Then the waitress seemed cold but we’re too hungry to care. I asked her what kind of beers they have and make sure I’ve ordered the correct one but when the drinks were served they’re totally wrong. And when we finished the food which was super delicious the waitress came with the bill but we still have drinks left and we’ve never asked for the bill. It was not even close to the closing time and she was impatient with poker face. After we got the cash from ATM since they don’t accept card, we’re tryin to using some coins to pay(not all just very small part for like 40 cents) but the waitress shake her head and didn’t want to accept the coins. When I tried to ask her why she didn’t want the coins she suddenly took the money away and totally ignored my question. We were left with shock because it’s the worst attitude I’ve ever seen. We didn’t now know what we did wrong and we never give her any faces.

Even the food here is amazing but I hope the management of the restaurant could notice this kind of behavior and I sincerely hope we are the last people been...

The pub is nice. I ate potato with salmon and sour cream, was delicious. What I didn't like it was the service. Maybe it was something personal I don't know. I had a 10min online meeting when I arrived, so I asked her if she can come back to take the order a bit later, so maybe this was the problem. I asked water (as I usually don't drink anything else) to not to be cold, I got cold water in a glass...I even don't know what kind of water she brought, maybe tap water. I didn't complain. In the end I wanted to pay by card and she refused it, she said I can pay only cash, but She had a pos in her hand and I saw people before me paying with card, also in the wallet she had almost no money...also she didn't give me any receipts, she automatically added tip as well, as I noticed, without telling me...I was not sympathetic maybe, other than that I did not complain to her at all. So for service I would give only one star or no star if would be possible, but the place is ok and the food as well, for which I would give 4, so all together does worth...

My wife and I took a table at the window, then a waiter came and said: This is a table for four persons, take a table for two instead and then he showed us a table. We had a lot of luggage so I asked if its ok to put it on the floor and he said its alright. So we moved to the other table meanwhile noticing there were at least four equal tables that we first had where there only were two persons. When we were about to sit down we saw clothes on the chair and a woman on the next table said someone is sitting there, he is at the toilette. Ok, I told the waiter that the table was taken and he said yes. -But then we cant sit here! -Why not? -Because the table is taken! Then he walked away murmling something and then we walked out the door to next restaurant, Baumanns bierbar. Very nice staff who didnt mind our luggage at all, and served us perfect wienerschnitzels for 14 Euros and very nice Weissbeer. Thank you Hamburg, you are more than a...
