Pasta Autentica by Jill — Restaurant in Hamburg

We'd been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while, so we went there today with my sweetheart. The atmosphere is great, they make the pasta in front of you, there's a small sunny terrace, everything you need to have a good time. Unfortunately, we were disappointed afterwards: we waited 50 minutes for our dishes (a table of 7 was served before us, but they arrived easily 20 minutes after we ordered) and when the "truffle pasta" finally arrived, we didn't like it at all. The pasta was of good quality, but the plates weren't very copious, and above all, it was more butter pasta than truffle pasta. We also realized that the waitress had forgotten the beer I'd ordered over 10 minutes ago, but it was just as well, as we wanted to leave. When we went to pay, she apologized for forgetting the beer, but we had no explanation for the rest. I think this restaurant can be nice but we didn't have a chance on the waiting and the choice...

Definitely better to make reservations before go there. Yesterday was full, but today with a friend we had lucky, and they had one table free for 40 min. Absolutely worth it!

First about service: 10/10. Even yesterday, when they don't had free table, guy was so nice, explaining everything asked if we want to make reservation etc. Just they care about people. And today other person and the same. So nice, explaining that one table is free only for 40 min, always smiled and helpful. And even woman that she was making pasta was also interested if we liked food and so nice to us. About food. God, yes. We loved it. I love pasta, and this one is jest one of this that you want to eat, and eat, and eat and have it for every lunch. We had "Con Salmone" and "Cinghiale". 🤌🏼🤌🏽🤌🏾 Don't know which one was better. Both was spectacular.

Bland food. Terrible service.

We arrived and were neither greeted nor assigned to our reserved table. Instead we waited while the waitress took a lengthy order all the while ignoring us for several minutes. Seeing the restaurant has zero waiting area, we eventually waited outside.

Finally at the table, placing our order had us waiting again. Guests arriving later were given precedence. Very unprofessional.

The food itself was mhew. I dont get the buzz about pasta by Jill. It's not super great pasta. It's okayish, but given the price tag it's definitely underwhelming.

Last but not least, we were basically told to leave asap when new guests showed up that needed the table. We hadn't even finished our plates and spent less than 1h in the restaurant.
