Spaccaforno — Restaurant in Hamburg

I saw several TikToks recommending Spaccaforno, so I decided to give it a try. I called to make a reservation, but they were fully booked—still, I took the chance and went with my boyfriend. Luckily, we got a seat right in front of the pizza oven, which made the experience even more special. Watching the chefs prepare the pizzas was a highlight, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The service was fast and impressive. Everyone was multilingual—speaking Italian, Spanish, English, and German—which made it easy and fun to interact. The place is cozy and well laid out; even though it’s small, it didn’t feel cramped at all.

As for the food, I had the four cheese pizza and my boyfriend ordered a calzone. Honestly, I had very high expectations because of all the hype. The pizza was good, but not extraordinary—it felt a bit average. The calzone was definitely tastier than my pizza.

Good place in Hamburg

I was in Hamburg today and searched around for a Pizzeria, after checking up I found this place.

Everything was going fine, the place was almost fully reserved and they offered me a place next to the Oven where they do the Pizza.

Prices to be in Hamburg are ok I guess.

As I was saying everything was going well, beer came right away, pizza too. Taste of the pizza dough could be better in my mapolitan opinion (I come from Naples).

Until there I was certain of giving almost 5 stars to everything but…

The people at the oven did not wear gloves and since I literally was in 1 meter distance to them I saw one of the chefs cough, cover his mouth with the hand (without gloves) and then again back to preparing pizzas without going to the rest room to wash his hands.

Disgusting.

Yesterday we went to this restaurant with the suggestion of a friend. We didn’t have a reservation and we were told the restaurant is fully booked. So we decided to get take away. Then we saw that a two person table was empty and there was no reservation card on it. So I asked the waitress politely if that table is booked cause we would really like to sit. She said she doesn’t have any information on it and that we should speak to her colleague. The restaurant was packed and her colleague was behind a bar and there were people passing by frequently in front of the bar. So again I asked the waitress politely if she could ask for me since the restaurant is small. She said she doesn’t have the time.
