Pastalozzi GmbH & Co. KG — Restaurant in Hamburg

It's a decent restaurant. It has a lively yet lowkey feel to it. I enjoyed having lunch here after a sunny day in Hamburg. It's close to the ferry too and easily found.

My experience here was not so great however. We ordered three pastas, one of my friends is vegetarian and the waiter gave the wrong dishes on the table. The veg dish was given to me and the one with bacon to my vegetarian friend.

He has never had bacon in his life and after confirming with the waiter if the dishes are right almost twice. He confirmed the dish was correctly given. It was after two spoons of eating we realised that the wrong dishes were given.

Now this is a table with only three people on it. And if you cannot even figure out which dish to give to your customer it's super bad.

Some people do not consume meat or bacon for religious reasons and it would be very bad if this happened with them.

Please watch out for this. Maybe this was a one off situation where it happens rarely. But after eating at several places all around Germany this was the first...

After long cycle on a sunny day was craving pizza and aperol. Ordering pizza diavola seems like wasn't good choice. Salami piccante wasn't piccante but some cheap one very little pepperoni and tuna🫥 and I was really hungry I ate one piece like you can see. When I ask waiter tabasco cos I like it piccante and it wasn't obviously he said that's not Italian but Carribien without any other explanation. I know its not Italian there must be more polite answer than that. Yes he gives me peperoncino oil which I put on that one piece I ate and also oil wasn't spicy so I just give up. When I ask waiter why tuna on pizza diavola he said it goes like that.🫥 I am not really picky specially when I am starving and I was. Maybe that's why my disappointment was even bigger. Just to mention like a girl coming alone just to eat in peace and chill didn't feel comfortable since waiter wanted to chat too deep. Avoid. Nothing Italian here not waiters not food not service and I know since I am spending so much time in Italy. Must be better italian...

Bad experience all together. First off, we had to wait for over half an hour even though we had a reservation. Someone local got a spot without reservation before us. Not a nice start. Other people who had to wait got offered complimentary drinks, we did not. Once seated, the staff was somewhat friendly, but seemed to be rushed. Same goes for the food. Undercooked food, and pizza where the dough is still raw got served. We would've wanted dessert, but everything took so long that we decided to skip it. I honestly can not understand why the average rating of this place is so high, in a city filled with quality...
