SWEET MINT - oriental kitchen — Restaurant in Hamburg

I had the pleasure of dining at Sweet Mint Oriental Kitchen today, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the innovative and inviting atmosphere, modern yet cozy, with a unique touch that sets it apart.

Das Restaurant hat vor kurzem erst geöffnet. Eigentlich hatte ich mir 10 Minuten vorher bereits einen Flammkuchen von dem Reeperbahn Weihnachtsmarkt „einverleibt“, aber als wir dann den Flyer bekamen, dachte ich mir „Wieso nicht?“. So konnte ich ohne großen Hunger dort einkehren und erstmal das nette Ambiente bewundern. Das Licht war sehr gemütlich gedimmt aber nicht so das man seine Speisen nicht bewundern könne. Kommt einem insgesamt bisschen wie ein Hybrid aus einem orientalischen Restaurant und Fastfood Kette vor. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und offen. Wir bestellten eine Falafell Box, Halloumi Fries und Hack Fries. Meine Fallafel waren ausgezeichnet. Geschmackvoll innen und außen krachend Kross. Der dazugehörige Salat war mit Granatapfelkernen und viel Gurke verfeinert. Der gebackene Blumenkohl war hervorragend in Geschmack. Kritikpunkt hier: warum waren meine Fallafel taufrisch und glühend heiß und der Blumenkohl kalt…. Aber das tat dem guten Geschmack daran keinen Abriss. Der Joghurt Dip rundete das geschmacklich sehr gut ab.

Meine Hackfries waren handwerklich gut gemacht. Genau wie die Fries meiner Reisepartnerin, die Würzmischung des Hacks macht auf jeden Fall etwas draus was man so nicht überall bekommt.

Alles in allem war es sehr lecker und es lohnt sich diesen Laden...
