Yin Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Hamburg

Honesty, it was one of the most distinguishable and delicious seafood I’ve ever put in my mouth. What should I say? There’s no doubt that the freshness is one of the best ever because of the fact that this restaurant sits right beside the seafood market. The taste is filled with unimaginable levels of umami capable of making every single one of your tastebuds overflow in pure happiness. The price is worth it plus there’s even cheaper option if you wanted to try. It was very easy to park nearby.

The only thing that lacked was that it’s not so good prepared for allergies so you’ve got to be careful.

Yin Seafood is one you must not miss if you love your seafood. Our waiter was the star of the show. Although we spoke no German, we fumbled through with our (limited) Cantonese.

The mixed platter is exceptional value. We started with a wonton/fish maw soup - flavourful with plenty of seaweed. Our main was a beautiful array of crab, oysters, scallops, mussels, razor clams, prawns presented on a heated plate. There's also a lobster (instead of crab) option for 20€ more. And we topped off the fulfilling meal with their sago dessert.

The waiter made sure our plates were changed as the empty shells were piling up. He checked in on us and was smiling throughout. We cannot fault the service and each bite was so fresh! Yin Seafood has made a lasting...

To say this is a very good restaurant is an understatement. To say the dishes are as good as in HK is incomplete. You cannot just walk into any restaurant in HK (or SF, LA, Vancouver) and expected to be served these well prepared seafood. You have to be a foodie knowledgeable of the restaurant scene to find seafood such as those served at Yin. So I cannot explain how we come across this restaurant when we don’t know any locals and were just traveling through Hamburg. But we are so happy of dining there that we stayed an extra night in Hamburg just so we can try a few more dishes the second night we went there.
