Fabios Fischbistro & Feinkost — Restaurant in Hamburg

Saw the rating of the place I thought great, some nice sea food. Also there were quite a lot of people on the patio. But in reality it is nowhere near that. Half way into the order inside I got interrupted and the person who was taking the order walked off. This person went out of her way to be rude. I was baffled who does that? I had to wait another 5 minutes while someone else‘s order was taken while I couldn’t complete mine…. What kind of a service is that? The food itself was below average. The „Backfisch“ seamed to be fried twice because the batter tasted hard, the creamy potato salad was sweet, not a favourite. The only tasty item was the fries.

That's not a "Fischbrötchen" that's the delishes sandwich I ever had! The value of the meal (doesn't matter which) is amazing. The tast is amazing! There are a lot of fish shops in a lot of more fancy areas with a much better view, but this is top level in taste (my opinion)! The self made chips...delicious! The baked fish (Backfisch)...delicious! We will come again! For sure. The are a lot of parking slots in front of the restaurant. And it's not far from that point to Reperbahn and other points. We ordered a Backfischbroetchen and Matjesbroetchen as well as some beer and we loved it.

The freshly made fried fish with Remouladensosse had a crunchy batter outside and soft moist fish inside, there was a salad leaf and all put into a fresh bun. Soooo good. The Matjesbroetchen was equally tasty. The Hering is marinated which makes the fish taste slighy sour (vinegar?) and the fish meat becomes lovely n soft. It came with a sauce (not sure which one I just agreed to have it) as well as some raw onion and of course the bun.
