Seven Sundays — Restaurant in Hanover

Let’s put it like this - there is some room for improvement left!

First lets state what’s really good: The breakfast menu is pure comfort food (think pancakes, French toast, Burritos) - and as in their other location, it is really good - once you get it. I’d rate it 5/5!

The new location is really nice, the murals on the wall add a very nice touch and the seating area is very comfy! Only complaint is that it can get quite loud inside as there’s little added to mute sound reflection inside the restaurant, but for a breakfast restaurant this is totally acceptable! I’d rate it 4/5!

What’s not so good: Service, apparently understaffed and undertrained. As it’s totally understandable that training takes some time and that the restaurant only opened up last week, waiting 15min for someone to take your drink order is a subpar experience. It took nearly another 45min for the food to be on our tables, compared to 15-20min at their other location in Hannover.

While we waited for our food, there was zero interaction between us and the waitress, no questions if we wanted anything else as our drinks got low which is really inattentive even for German standards, there’s a lot of room for improvement. Same goes for the waiter bringing the check, zero interaction with us apart from naming the amount to pay and whether we wanted to pay by card or cash - no questions how our breakfast was etc - Id expect more in a modern American style restaurant.

Service 2/5.

And if the restaurant is understaffed, then maybe the right reaction might be to not fill up every table in the restaurant - instead of letting guests wait over an hour to get food on their table.

Ich war jetzt 3x bei Seven Sundays (1x Oster- 2x Friesenstr.), Friesenstr. gefällt mir erheblich besser - Osterstr. habe ich schon hier bewertet. Ich sass beide male auf der oberen Ebene (über 1,9m den Kopf einziehen!), ein Besuch war in der Woche und einer auf einen Sonntag. In der Woche war es schon gut besucht, rechnet an einem Sonntag mit Wartezeit, der Andrang war recht hoch - was ja auch für die Lokalität spricht und man auch nicht reservieren kann. Bei meinem 2ten Besuch dort hatten wir bestellt einen Eistee, einen Smoothie und einen Darjeeling Tee. Bei dem Tee kam es wohl zu ein paar Verständigungsschwierigkeiten - ich bekam aufeinmal irgendwas wie einen Ingwereistee, wurde aber anstandslos umgehend gegen meinem bestellten Tee getauscht. Wenn ihr nicht gefragt werdet, macht die Bedienung noch auf Zucker/Süßstoff aufmerksam, denn der kommt nicht automatisch mit. Der MerryBerry Eistee schön fruchtig, der gelbe Smokthie ebenfalls sehr lecker und sehr fruchtig ...und kaum gesüßt. War genau richtig bei den Temperaturen. Zu Essen gab es den Zimt Pfannkuchenstapel, den mit Früchten und dem Vanilletopping sowie den Frühstücksburrito. Die Zimt Pfannkuchen sind für meinen Geschmack so mit das leckere glaube ich, was man bestellen kann dort. Ich stehe auf Zimt und Pfannkuchen halt, am Anfamg ist man auch etwas skeptisch: Reicht das? Werde ich davon satt? Ja, definitv, Die gefühlten 2,5 Mio Kalorien halten locker bis zum Abend an. Meine kleine Tochter hatte den Stapel mit dem Vanille Topping und Früchten. Leider traf der nicht ganz ihren Geschmack. Das Topping schmeckt quasi mach Vanillepudding....aber ansonsten gab es daran auch nichts auszusetzen - Ist halt Geschmackssache. Die große bestellte sich den Frühstücksburrito und im Gegensatz zur Osterstrasse schmeckte mir das was ich hier probiert habe von ihr, auch besser/runder. Der Koch hat hier wohl ein bisschen mehr in den Gewürztopf gegriffen. Der einzige Punkt, die ich ein weniger gut finde ist, daß auf den hippen Toiletten keine Spiegel hängen. Ansonsten komme ich gerne wieder mal vorbei- wenn mein Konto es zulässt, den die Preise dort sind...

The worst breakfast food I have ever eaten. I have never not enjoyed breakfast food. I only ate this as we had just walked for hours.

The service was lovely, and they asked what I thought about the food that not many places do. They were fast and attentive

I got avocado meets toast. It was one slice of bread with a weird bitter flavour. Guacamole was some pre made processed stuff that tasted terrible. The toast was overcooked and near impossible to cut.

My partner got the breakfast burrito. It just didn't taste like good ingredients.
