The Starbucks of Burgers. When ordering they will first ask you for your desired kind of bread. You can choose between whole grain, white and Laugenbrot.
Then they will ask you if you want your meat to be 100g, 200g or 300g. Be wary, I ordered it as a 200g and it was a double patty burger.
Then they will ask you if you want a pepper crust or not. They grill the patties with pepper and it creates a crust or so I was told. This option however is extra, and costs extra, it's like if you were to add bacon to a simple burger.
I ordered an "Abendmahl". A nightly meal menu that is the price of you burger plus 8,50euros for fries and a cocktail. I ordered the Geissbock, which has goat cheese and fig jam, which is delicious. I drank a mojito which was also nice and ordered the sweet potato fries (cost a bit extra than regular fries). I would however not recommend the sweet potato fries, as they were a bit soggy, and not nearly as crispy as my friends french fries.
Overall the experience was good, the music was good and it's a nice restaurant. Expect to pay...
Read moreWe went to the restaurant on Sunday evening and we were seated immediately by a staff. The decor and the ambiance were pretty cool. We ordered Smokey rösti burgers, BBQ cauliflower wings and sweet potato Pommes. The food was served in 15mins and was absolutely delicious. The burger was huge and was definitely one of the best I had in Karlsruhe. It had a smokey jam and potato hashbrown in it which made it unique. The cauliflower wings were yummy and the sweet potato fries were super crispy. Everything was served hot. The staff were also pretty cordial. They even packed the left over for us to take home. We also took two non alcoholic beverages including which our total bill came to around 50euros. However, we could get a 30% off using a screenshot of the offer they posted on there social media pages. Their menu is varied and has a great collection of chicken, beef and vegan burgers. For the prize, the food was just amazing. I will highly recommend the restaurant. Do visit if...
Read moreWhat a treat! Some friends took us here and I love the ambiance! The restaurant is filled with birch trunks so it feels like you are having a burger out in the Forrest. The burgers are diverse with flavor pairings not often found in the USA. I ordered the Geissbock which had a Fig jam with Goat cheese and Bacon. A very complex flavor that was quite enjoyable! The only thing they could improve upon is the burger patties, though of good quality, seem to be premade. Though knowing Germans they probably make them fresh and are just perfectionists in how it looks when it hits the grill! Also we were a large group and it took the waitress a while to take our order and we ended up with some difficulties when they brought our food out to us. The manager cleared up the issue quickly. All together I can highly recommend Hans im Gluck if you want a unique perspective on...
