Very tasty Food - eating Poutine with my bestie sorta has become almost a "Tradition" already now when we meet in the City.

The atmosphere is really nice with all the wooden planks - sorta feels a bit like a Log Cabin there and it adds to the enjoyment of the food.

What doesn't is the sometimes pretty loud music, which makes it also hard to hear the name of the Code-Word printed on the Receipt from the order. Which brings me to a suggestion: you already have a Monitor installed over the counter, where you hand out the meals. So, why not use it to show the currently ready meal-orders's Code-Words instead of having to scream them into the room/area (another reason why the loud music is sorta detrimental, too, btw.)? I'm sure your screen behind the counter already shows these Order-Code-Words, so it shouldn't be hard to set-up the IT in a way, that you can just tap them on the screen when they're ready and they're going up to the Monitor above the Hand-out-Counter!?

Much easier for your employees, too - since they don't need to compete with the Music...

I went in and expected crispy crunchy yummy fries, yet was disappointed. I love fries so I might have been overenthusiastic.

Fries were quite tasteless unless they were drowned in the sauce of salad for (I also didn't like the coleslaw salad and pickled onions - why can't we have crunchy onions?). I ate it because I was hungry, so it was alright but nowhere close to the expectation once has when entering.

The system of calling out to pick up order is super chaotic (maybe calling out the dish by its name would help or just simply giving out numbers to the customers ?) Ambiente looks nice (especially considering it being at train station) at the first glance but those chairs are not comfy at all and the overall impression when sitting down is kind of mixed (run down tables and scratched walls)

Das Frittenwerk ist dank der zentralen Lage (Hauptbahnhof) extrem gut erreichbar. Man kann sowohl an der Kasse, also bei einem Mitarbeiter bestellen und bezahlen, aber auch an Automaten, wie sie es auch bei McDonalds gibt. Dort muss man dann allerdings mit Karte bezahlen. Nach der Bestellung bekommt man einen Kassenbon auf dem fantasievolle Bestellnamen stehen: Peter Pan, Papa Schlumpf, Hulk, ... Danach stellt man sich an und die Mitarbeiter rufen bei Fertigstellung die Namen. Ich finde das eine witzige Idee, weil es einfach mal nicht so langweilig ist, wie klassische Zahl-/Buchstabenreihen. Man ist eigentlich immer gespannt, welchen Namen man dieses Mal zieht.

Das Frittenwerk hat sich auf vegetarische / vegane Pommesgerichte spezialisiert, auch die angebotenen Soßen sind meistens vegan. Sie haben zahlreiche ausgefallene Pommes-Variationen, dazu kann ich tatsächlich nicht so viel sagen, weil ich eher der Sicherheitsmensch bin und auf altbekanntes zurückgreife, z. B. Currywurst mit Pommes (es gibt durchaus auch ein paar Gerichte mit Fleisch, aber die meisten sind eben vegetarisch). Die normalen Pommes sind geschmacklich, vorsichtig ausgedrückt, eher langweilig. Ich empfehle die Knoblauchfritten! Mein Lieblingsgericht ist das Currywurst Spezial (eine Poutine, mit Currywurst, Currysoße, Petersilie, Röstzwiebeln und veganer Mayo oben drüber - ein Traum!).

Leider ist das Frittenwerk meistens gut besucht, sodass man durchaus eine Weile warten muss. Wenn aber nichts los ist, kann man bei der Zubereitung seines Gerichts förmlich zusehen, sie bereiten es nämlich nicht irgendwo im Hinterzimmer zu, wie das bei den meisten Fastfood-Restaurants der Fall ist, sondern hinter einem Tresen, aber eben sichtbar.

Preismäßig liegt das Frittenwerk eher im höheren Segment, die Portionen sind aber riesig! Teilweise scheitere ich an der Currywurst Spezial-Poutine, weil es einfach zu viel ist. Satt wird man auf jeden Fall, auch Männer mit großem, gesunden Appetit. Das kann ich euch auf jeden Fall versprechen.

Wer Pommes liebt und es gern ein bisschen ausgefallener mag, der sollte unbedingt mal hin. Ich kann es insgesamt wirklich empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter...
