VINCENT — Restaurant in Leipzig

Great concept and the food was good. I don't think that justifies the ridiculous prices though. I want to support vegan eateries but why must their products be so much more expensive than real meat? It's crazy! Something is wrong in this world when it comes to food. Meat should never be as cheap as what it is nowadays and nor should plant based substitutes be so 'niche' and therefore expensive. Unfortunately the staff service was terrible as well (probably because I didn't select the 'tip' option when I paid... but who tips at a fast food place... especially BEFORE they even receive their meal???). I was the only person in the joint and was sitting literally only 5 meters away from the counter (there was even an opening for the staff to get through so they didn't have to make any detours) but the lady couldn't be bothered making the few steps to my table. She called out and then left the tray on the counter for me to pick up myself while she stood there sipping on her drink. You'd think someone who was standing there bored out of their brains would relish having something to do, even if it's simply taking a few steps to bring the tray over to save a customer having to climb over her luggage. The whole experience was weird and unpleasant. I got out of there as soon as I'd finished eating. Would have left a tip after eating -- and being reasonably satisfied with the food -- if the staff had actually done something to deserve it but they don't even clear the tables (the customer does that, just like at any other fast food joint). Not a good business model though (punishing people for not tipping before they receive their meal). Lower the prices and be more friendly/ welcoming and you'll get way more customers. Like I mentioned previously, apart from me the place was completely empty (I would never normally spend a 17€ on a burger with small fries and small drink either, but I was hungry and wanted to support vegan options. Keine Empfehlung - Schlechtes Service-Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Ich freute mich schon lange auf den Besuch bei dem veganen Restaurant „Vincent“ und war mega gespannt auf mein Geschmackserlebnis. Ein Geschenk an mich selbst.

Es gab keine Menü Preise, sondern man sollte alles einzeln bezahlen.

Ich bestellte mir einen Hamburger, Pommes, Mayo am Terminal zum im Restaurant essen. Preis knapp 15€ ohne Getränk.

Bestellung wurde schnell zubereitet und bekam ich auf einem Plastik-Mensa Tablett.

Designtechnisch war alles recht unauffällig, pragmatisch, öko. Darf man mögen.

Mir hat die Liebe gefehlt. Doch das Auge isst ja mit.

Das Auspacken und Verkosten:

Schon beim anfassen viel mir mit dem Plastik-Papier der Burger auseinander, Pommes waren sehr hart und großzügig Mayo kam im Restaurant in einem alternativen, Plastik-Papier-Becher. Der Becher war so tief, dass die Pommes teils darin verschwanden. Das Vleisch-Patty war zerrig und hatte fast wie Fasern eines tierischen Fleischstücks. Auf die Schnelle war weder im Terminal noch im Internet in der Beschreibung zu erkennen aus was es besteht. Auch der Burger musste mit der Holzgabel immer wieder zusammengeschoben werden und matschte. Das Gemüse in dem Burger schmeckte frisch. An den Käse kann ich mich geschmacklich gar nicht erinnern.

Verbesserungsidee:

Mir kam der Gedanke an die lecker, knusprigen Waffelbecher meiner Kindheits-Schwimmbadpommes für Mayo zu den Pommes im Restaurant.

Andere, größere Brötchen. Bessere Folie oder etwas vollkommen anderes für die Brötchen.

Bezahlung:

Nur mit Bankkarte möglich. Ein kleiner Junge kam mit Bankkarte ohne Eltern gelaufen, um sich etwas zu bestellen. Fand ich etwas absurd. Vielleicht bin ich auch altmodisch.

Service / Freundlichkeit:

Während meines Essens unterhielten sich die 2 Servicekräfte darüber, dass der junge Herr dann schnell den Laden zu macht. Fühlte ich mich schon fast gezwungen zu schauen wie lange der Laden offen hat. Irgendwie ein ungutes Gefühl beim Essen.

Als mir die 2 dann begegneten bei der Abgabe meines Tabletts kam kein Interesse wie es geschmeckt hat oder Ähnliches.

Hätte ich mir dort anders gedacht. Mit etwas Service was den Unterschied macht. Mehr Interesse an Kunden, an der Zufriedenheit.

Vielleicht hat auch einfach die finanzielle Motivation gefehlt, um interessiert am Kunden zu sein.

Positive Anmerkung für Reisende: Sehr gut finde ich dort die nutzbaren Steckdosen.

Fazit:

Alles in allem ging ich gestern sehr unzufrieden und enttäuscht aus dem Restaurant. Und würde es so weder meiner Online-Community, noch Familie oder Freunden empfehlen.

Ich freue mich jedoch über eine kostenfreie Einladung, um eure Verbesserungen zu testen. Gern schreibe ich dann auch eine neue Rezension auf Google.

Friendly, fast service and pretty good vegan food. I got the "Vish and Chips" with peanut sauce and thoroughly enjoyed both the fake fish and the peanut sauce. Fresh spring onions were a nice touch. My only qualm with the food is that the french fries were UNBELIEVABLY salty. I just drank about a half litre of water and am wondering if my mouth will ever be the same again after the inside layer essentially got chemically stripped off by salt. These fries got me wondering if such a thing as a salt overdose exists and if I should be worried about giving myself said overdose. At least it will help my low blood...
