Urfa Sofrasi Mannheim — Restaurant in Mannheim

I have visited this grill restaurant a couple of times, but my last two visits were absolutely terrible. Despite giving them a second chance, the experience was just as bad.

The meat, which should be the highlight of a grill restaurant, had a foul smell, making it inedible. The hygiene standards were shockingly poor, with dirty bathrooms that were far from acceptable. To top it off, the grill was turned off well before their closing time, which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this kind.

It’s a big no from me. I wouldn’t recommend this...

Enttäuschende Erfahrung im Urfa Sofrasi Mannheim

Ich möchte meine Erfahrung im Urfa Sofrasi Mannheim teilen, die leider von Respektlosigkeit seitens des Servicepersonals geprägt war.

Während meines Essens hat ein Kellner meinen Teller ohne Vorwarnung angefasst und gefragt, ob ich fertig bin, obwohl ich noch nicht abgeschlossen hatte. Trotz meiner Antwort, dass ich fertig bin. Aber ich war noch nicht fertig und habe noch Pommes auf dem Teller, wurde mir nur eine Minute später von einem anderen Kellner mitgeteilt, dass der Tisch für andere Gäste benötigt wird.

Ich war überrascht und enttäuscht, da ich noch nie zuvor eine derart respektlose Behandlung in einem Restaurant erlebt habe. Es schien, als sei das Hauptziel des Personals, die Kunden so schnell wie möglich essen und bezahlen zu lassen, um Platz für die nächsten Gäste zu schaffen.

Es erscheint, als stehe der Fokus des Restaurants ausschließlich auf Umsatz und schnellem Geldverdienen, was das gastronomische Erlebnis stark beeinträchtigt. Dies ist bedauerlich und hat meine Erwartungen an den Service bei Urfa Sofrasi Mannheim leider nicht erfüllt.

Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn das Management solche Vorfälle ernst nimmt, um die Qualität des Kundenservice zu verbessern und eine angenehmere Atmosphäre für alle Gäste zu schaffen.

My Turkish friends agree that they serve great food here. Mannheim doesn't have that many restaurants worth visiting, but this is certainly one. The Urfa Spezial mixed platter feeds 2 easily, and every meal comes with a complimentary bread basket. And don't forget kunefe for dessert.

Update 2018/07/30: Just came back from a 10-day trip across 3 cities in Turkey, and can confirm that this place indeed serves superb...
