089 Bar & Lounge - München — Restaurant in Munich

UPDATE 2022: 5 years (!!!) later this bar is trying to intimidate me to remove my review by threatening lawsuit!! They claim I cannot demonstrate I was their client so Google is forced to ask me to provide proof that I was a client otherwise they are forced to delete my review. Despicable and desperate action not only from the owners of this "fine" establishment but also from lawyers who choose such morally questionable clients. I am if course unable to prove I was their client 5 years ago when I paid in cash. I will re-post my review every week, if this is what it takes, to ensure people still have freedom of speech! Disgusting, shameful and abhorrent.

I've never felt so humiliated before. After paying 6€ to get to an extremely overcrowded club and 2€ for wardrobe, they messed up my coat number and ended up with my coat missing. I described to them how my coat looks like and they invited me to come search for it myself. At some point a German friend was explaining them over the phone their mistake. They asked for my ID and then they reacted very weirdly when saw my nationality and from that point on they became very skeptical. I found my coat but then he didn't believe me, although I freaking described it to them beforehand. I recently visited 089 club in Munich with my wife for the first time, but unfortunately, our experience with the club security was disappointing. As newcomers to the city, we were not aware of the process for buying tickets and decided to ask the security personnel for information. However, their responses were unhelpful and dismissive.

When we asked if we should wait in the queue to buy a ticket, the security personnel told us that the area was not for us. When we tried to get information about the process, we were told to go to another club. It was a frustrating experience and not at all what we expected.

As someone who moved to Germany and Munich just last year and has come to love the people and nature in the city, this was not only the worst experience we've had dealing with club security but also the worst experience we've had in Germany generally. We were disappointed by the lack of helpfulness and kindness from the security personnel.

Based on our experience, we would not recommend this club to others looking for a positive and welcoming experience. We hope that our feedback will help the club improve its customer service and create a better experience for...

Ich kann alles bestätigen, was unten steht. Profis sind in dieser Branche wohl nicht mehr zu finden. Kellner zwingen einen, Trinkgeld zu geben. Traurige Masche: Sie geben den Betrag ein und switchen gleich um, sodass du nicht weißt, was du zahlst, und dann halten sie dir mindestens die 7 Prozent hin. Ich konnte es den ganzen Abend beobachten; nur einer hat den Button gefunden, um aus dieser Schleife zu kommen. Ich wünsche mir, dass dieser Laden schließt und eine neue Führung mit neuem Personal bekommt.

Vom Publikum muss ich echt sagen: durch die Bank tolle Menschen. Das Niveau der Rausschmeißer entspricht jedoch nicht dem Publikum. Eigentlich sollten diese Personen, die ich am Freitagabend gesehen habe, nicht dort arbeiten. Ich schreibe nicht viele Bewertungen, aber jetzt, wo ich das so Revue passieren lasse, weiß ich, dass ich da nie wieder hin möchte. Ich habe an diesem Abend zu viel gesehen, das vom Haus kam und nicht von den Gästen. So etwas erwartet man nicht von einem Club mitten in der City. Habt ihr das echt so nötig? In allen Bereichen bereit, dir dein Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen und dich offensichtlich abzuzocken.

An die Rausschmeißer: Respekt kann man nur erwarten, wenn man selbst respektvoll ist. Wer Gäste durchgehend bei Regen beleidigt, ohne Pause, sollte sich mal überlegen, ob er in diesem Job richtig aufgehoben ist. Und wenn sein Chef es nicht sieht und es offensichtlich durchgehend so gemacht wird, dann ist es Firmenpolitik.

Ich war nur Gast, an keiner der oben genannten Herausforderungen beteiligt, außer dem mit dem Trinkgeld. Das hat mich auch dazu verleitet, mir diesen Laden genauer anzuschauen.

Ehrlich, ich würde euch nicht einen Stern geben. Eigentlich gibt es irgendwo und irgendwie immer doch etwas Positives zu erwähnen.

Der DJ. Er war echt gut, saubere, kluge Übergänge. Schön zu hören, Respekt. Über Stunden perfekt, nicht jeder Song war mein Ding, aber kreativ.

Zusätzlich möchte ich noch erwähnen, dass die Atmosphäre im Club insgesamt sehr enttäuschend war. Es schien, als ob das Management wenig Wert auf das Wohlbefinden der Gäste legt. Ein Club sollte ein Ort sein, an dem man sich entspannen und eine gute Zeit haben kann, aber hier war das leider...
