Had a breakfast with a group of friends in Cotidiano - it's a decent place but doesn't make a 5 star cut.
Pros: The menu is vast with an extensive choice of vegetarian options. Staff spoke English, which is a plus for us. The food generally was good with a few exceptions and personal preferences (e.g., bread choice can be better or tofu scramble was missing some flavor & also had almonds in it which is quite unique, or vegetarian clubsandwich had fried eggs instead of scramble eggs highlighted in the menu, & etc.). The ambience inside is nice & cozy, central location, great for the evening walk after your breakfast. Reasonable pricing for standalone dishes from my perspective (vegetarian Clubsandwich at 13.9 EUR - quite tasty & big). Online reservation system.
Cons: Although the ambience is nice, the place is quite jammed with not much room left between the tables. Generally the place feels & seems clean but you can still find those small or sometimes not small disadvantages such as: some stains on the walls; or we have received arugula salad in one of the dishes unwashed (with visible dirt, attached); or in the bathroom you can find relatively clean toilet seat but with the visible ~2-3mm crack (photo might not reflect but it was a crack with a gap); or you can find the paper towels standing there in the bathroom waiting for you while the paper towel dispenser is being empty.
This place and generally Cotidiano chain seems to be quite popular, so, book the...
Read moreThis was my favorite brunch place when I went to Munich last year: the food was good & affordable and the staff was very friendly. This year though, the food was mediocre and I encountered the worst service I've ever experienced. The waitress was incredibly rude, when I wanted to ask for another drink she shouted and asked if I wanted to pay. Then when I actually wanted to pay later on, she held the phone next to me on which it asked me if I wanted to tip them. Since it was in German I wasn't able to read it, and she just left it there and looked the other way. Then after paying she said thank you goodbye (without the much needed comma or pause typically used between "thank you" and "goodbye") in a very passive aggressive way making us feel like she wanted us gone.
Then if this wasn't bad enough yet, we saw a mouse coming from under our seat. When we were leaving we told them the waitress and she just said "yeah we knew there's a mouse there" while shrugging and then turned around to continue her conversation with her colleagues. Such a horrible experience so wouldn't recommend to anyone and personally never coming back again. Unless you like to pet mice during a meal and enjoy...

Unfortunately, my experience at Cotidiano was not a good one. When it came time to pay, I was charged for three items I never ordered (about €15 extra): a cappuccino, scrambled eggs, and extra bacon. After checking the receipt and asking for clarification, the waiter initially refunded only two of the incorrect items. We had to ask again before he finally refunded the third one. It didn’t feel like an honest mistake — more like a sneaky move.
The tip was calculated based on the incorrect total, so I ended up paying an extra 10% on an inflated bill, and that tip was not refunded. That left a bad taste regardless.
Additionally, we were charged €3 for extra cheese that was added to a dish without being told it would cost extra. That wasn't the main issue, but still worth mentioning.
Overall, the experience was disappointing and left us feeling taken advantage of. I strongly recommend checking your receipt carefully before paying.
Regarding food the offer is pretty much average and beverage were...
