Café Al Teatro — Restaurant in Munich

Terrible response, Responsibility, mafia service mind!!! The ice-cream was just ordinary. But the service was terrible. A Star was too many.

We walked by right before closing time and asked politely in German, if we could order ( Dürften wir noch bestellen?). I ordered, paid for mine 10€ and got changes 5,60€. My Friend didn’t want to find his banknote so he asked me to pay for him.

I gave 5,5€ directly to the female seller for 2,4€ ice-cream so I can get 2+1 € & 10 cent coins back, which not only she didn’t get it but also gave me back the wrong change .

Then I asked her politely if she could „re-calculate“ (of course in German) because I was charged more than I should pay (and I rather have my coins for vending machine). Then she got “angry” and explained to her colleagues in other languages and they started yelling at me. Now I explained ( in yelling too ) that I brought just A 10€ Banknote from my pocket and paid for 6,80€ goods just expect the correct changes in 3,20€ which indeed they gave me only 2,70€ back. They took all coins from my hand violently to see. After they realized that they miscalculated they “smashed” the change (3,60€ which is still another miscalculation) on counter without apologizing and started causing a scene. I yelled back and tell them what’s wrong with expecting the correct change. This Moment one of the male seller acted as he is ready to attack me.

To avoid being attacked I grabbed 3,5€ and walked out. They called me back and said the 10 cent was a contribution for me.

I do understand that they are tired after long hours of work but if i didn’t something wrong in my service because of tiredness, I would apologize and correct my mistakes. Not yelling, causing scene, threatening to attack or looking down on...

What a disappointment, I tell ya! We went to this Italian ice cream joint in Munich, and the whole experience was a real disaster, capisce? The lady behind the counter was incredibly rude and didn't even let us taste their gelato flavors. I mean, where do they think they are, not in Italy, that's for sure!

Oh, and let me tell you one more thing that really boils my spaghetti! Not only were they rude, but they downright disrespected my mama! I mean, come on, that's crossing the line, amico!

We were four people, looking to enjoy some gelato, and they treated us like we were gum under their shoe. But when they disrespected my mama, that was the final straw.

Customer service, my friends, it's all about respect, and these folks at that gelato joint clearly have no idea about that. We're never setting foot in that place again, and I strongly advise anyone with even a hint of respect for their mama to stay far away. There are plenty of other gelato spots in Munich with better service and just as tasty gelato. So, do yourself a favor, and steer clear...

The lady working the ice cream counter was completely RUDE AND DISTASTEFUL. We asked for ONE taste of a flavor and she acted like we had robbed her of all the ice cream. We proceeded to PAY for 2 ice cream cones and she still acted annoyed that we asked for a taste. We returned the next night as this shop is close to our hotel, and there were new flavors. We asked for ONE taste again and the same lady was working the counter and said NO! If we paid for 2 ice cream cones after we got a tiny little taste, does that not cover the taste tester?? I’m sorry we ruined your night lady, we will not return anymore. There are plenty more ice cream shops nearby that won’t be upset if you ask for ONE TASTE. Take your money to a better ice cream...
