Quite possibly the best bar in Munich. The bar is very small and does get busy on a weekend. There is limited seating outside as other bars have taken the space. Sitting inside is a good way to meet locals and other tourists.
There was a very good music selection being played which we enjoyed. Local beer is €4.5 so it's competitive price and goes down easily.
On our last visit the bar lady demanded a tip. This was very confusing as we did not believe it to be customary. We gave her €5 on a €40 bill. She didn't seem very overwhelmed with that. There may have been a breakdown in communication and we may have confused what she was asking but I don't believe so.
On our first visit we did in fact leave a €5 tip as the lad was very friendly and we enjoyed our visit. We had not previously been asked for a tip and only ever sat at the bar so service was limited.

It was 11:00 and the sign said they were open until 3. She took one look at us with such disdain that we instantly felt unwelcome. We seriously took one step in and turned around and left.
