THE HISTORY The Tal 8 has always been an address for culinary enjoyment. The town house in the center of Munich used to be the famous Schlicker-brewery up to the last century. Back in the 15th century, wagoners, retailers, town clerks and councillor used to stop at the "Thal" for a snack or drink. Our concept of a comfortable Bavarian restaurant continues the tradition and revives the Bavarian culture of beer in its best way. We had a wonderful experience at Tegernseer Tal Bräuhaus, right in the heart of Munich. The location is perfect – you can’t miss it, as it’s right next to McDonald’s in the city centre. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with a lovely atmosphere that feels welcoming and authentic. The menu features classic Bavarian cuisine, and we were really impressed with the quality. Everything was served very well, the prices were fair, and the food itself was delicious. We ordered the traditional apple pancake pudding, which we were told would take about 25 minutes – a sign that it’s freshly made, and well worth the wait! Alongside, we enjoyed a selection of refreshing white wines, which paired beautifully with the meal. What we especially liked was that it was an easy and enjoyable stop for everyone: while we enjoyed our authentic Bavarian lunch, the kids were perfectly happy grabbing McDonald’s nearby. A win-win all around! If you’re in Munich and looking for a tasty, authentic, and relaxed Bavarian dining experience right in the city centre, Tegernseer Tal Bräuhaus is a fantastic choice.

we had a very bad experience there! employees were cold, when we stepped in,there's no people service us,so we went to upstairs and asked one staff whether we can sit there, she replied yes,but five mins later, another staff came and asked us to go down:( when we settled down again,we waited around ten mins,no people offer us any services,so one of my friend went to find someone and ask for the menu, then she was complained by the staff——u shouldn't come to us directly,it's not nice,u'd better sit there and wait us⋯⋯⋯well,ok,we are too hunger to wait for your long-waiting services finally we got ordered with cold face and non-speaking English service。then the staff just throwed a plate of bread, and told us「2 euros」,ok,we will pay for that for sure the dishes came really late, because we want to share our dishes,so we asked for two more dishes, after like one century's waiting, she came to us,told us 「one euro per plate」well, first to know this kind of business, but ok,we will pay without doubt,i dont know why she still showed bad manner, and easy to be angered staffs always ignoring clients, but if you wave hands or ask them when they serving people next to yout table, they will shouted at u or just waved their hands with impatient faces which made us feel so bad⋯⋯⋯⋯ wont come again !and hope other guests can see my post and avoid to spend money here!

We read that it’s usually much busier, we came a day after Christmas so I think because of that it was not crowded. The moment we came in we were seated, unfortunately not at a very good place even if there were maybe three other tables taken and every other table was free. They sat us at the table for two at a bad location, it was cold and next to the cash register only so we wouldn’t take up place for more people (the whole time we were there the most of the tables were free). The waiter wasn’t very kind and also didn’t know english very well. We ordered baked cow schnitzel (9/10), bavarian straw pork meat loaf (6/10) and apple pie (10/10). Schnitzels were good, bus in the sos there was a hair, I asked for a new one which the waiter didn’t say a word to, took it out of my hand, looked and left. I got a new one a few minutes later form the other waiter. For our taste the meat loaf was not so awesome. In the other hand, the apple pie was amazing as well as the beer. Tissues that are on the table were dirty and the toilet was not very clean. Our total bill was 54€. In conclusion, if you have nowhere to eat go there, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I don’t think I have ever had such poor service at a restaurant. I went here with some friends for a beer and the waiter immediately took our order, which was nice. Over 15 minutes later the beers were still not there. Then, a man who I assume was the manager came up to us and said “are you guys going to order or what? You’ve just been sitting here and you need to leave if you have no intention of ordering.” I explained to him that we had already ordered with his colleague, but he rudely stated that we had not and again accused us of loitering. Finally we put in a second order with him and another 10 minutes later the original waiter finally came with our beers. While this was extremely annoying and certainly put a damper on our mood we enjoyed our beers. Finally, when it came time to pay the manager/waiter who bullied us for “loitering” came over with the bill. My friend opted to not tip him because of the poor service and his unprofessionalism. The waiter then told him that he NEEDS to tip him at least 10% because it’s standard in Germany. My friend did eventually generously give him the 10% that he certainly did not deserve. Overall, I walked away completely embarrassed because my friends were visiting from out of town and I was the one that suggested we grab a drink there.

I am a tour guide here in town and have recommended this place as I had a good experience a few years ago but I will not only no longer recommend but strongly suggest against people going to this...
