Tucked away down a street close to the main market square, sits this gorgeous restaurant decorated with the festive vibes of the season. My first impression walking in was “oh! How charming” and then received a warm greeting by the server/host who took me to my table and immediately offered me a beverage, a warm one to combat the rainy cold weather outside. She mentioned that they had the best Gluhwein in the city and it definitely did not disappoint. Looking through the menu, I chose the starter with the 3 dips. This on the menu „Heimatgedeck – I schmier da oane“ 3erlei Aufstriche: Lachstatar, Kürbis – Meerrettich und getrüffelter Dattel- Maroni Schmand, dazu unser Knusperstangerl. I loved everything about this meal. All 3 dips were so flavourful and I love truffle so I particularly enjoyed the date, chestnut truffle dip. For my main, I had the beef and it was mouth wateringly good - cooked to perfection. „Rindvieh“ Gegrilltes Rinderfilet unter der Maronikruste auf Balsamico- Schalotten, Rosmarin- Portweinjus, gebratene Waldpilze und Kürbis-Kartoffelnocken im Kräutermantel.

The desserts looked incredibly appealing as well but I was meeting a friend for coffee after elsewhere so I held off on getting dessert. But goodness, the positive reviews regarding this place are well deserved and I was blown away by my...

Anything I say about this place is simply not enough! The place is so cozy, I love the wood and the fact that they did not use any big lights in the place, only small lights which makes the place give a really calm feeling. The staff members were really nice and friendly. The food…. The literal best things that I have tried in Munich so far… they offered us Rose prosecco in the beginning and God it was delicious.. And we had the cheese platter which just came directly from heaven.. and the salad that was really fresh and extremely delicious! How in the world can salad be delicious? I don’t know how these guys did it but it was a totally different experience.. also the carpaccia was extremely good. For the main course we tried stroganoff and keep rolling….🤌🏻🤌🏻… I honestly prefer stroganoff with cream but it’s just preferences and it was truly appetizing. And God keep rolling was just too different… I don’t know how they cooked it but I have never tried something like this before… at the end we had hazelnut shots! It was bitter and heavy for me but a really nice experience. These people did a really great job I’d never forget this amazing experience....

We found this little gem while looking for something to have for dinner. We were a party of five (which became a party of three when the teenagers suddenly decided to visit a fast food chain) and we did not expect to be seated as we had no reservation. The staff was very accommodating, telling us that we could use a reserved table that they would not need for another 1,5 hour. We took a shrimp salad (big portion), another good-sized schnitzel (the most original I have ever had) and a veal with bacon and asparagus. The food was extra delicious and the servers very welcoming and pleasant. As soon as we finished our dinner, it started to rain and, while we were waiting for the teenage disasters to reappear, we were invited to the inside of the restaurant (also very cute and welcoming) until the arrival of the younger generation. I would definitely go again!!! I only regret not taking photos of the place...

The restaurant is centrally located, and it’s best to book in advance as it’s often fully booked. Luckily, I was able to get a reservation with the help of my hotel receptionist. For starters, we tried the “Bayrisches Erbgut,” traditional meatballs that were a nice way to begin the meal. For mains, we had the “Bleeda Kua” (Stroganoff-style meat pieces) and the “So a Hirsch” (braised venison from the Bavarian Forest with juniper). The “So a Hirsch” stood out with its large portion, good-quality meat, and rich flavor. The “Bleeda Kua” was more ordinary — decent but nothing particularly noteworthy. Both dishes came with similar sauces and potato croquettes, which felt a bit repetitive. Portion sizes were generous, and with one starter and two mains, it was more than enough for two people. The interior was nicely decorated, creating a cozy, festive atmosphere that added to the dining experience.
