The most discriminating and disrespectful restaurant I’ve ever seen. Trust me, I rarely give low star review to all places I visit but this is beyond my surprise. Maybe the food are not bad, but if you are not local (dont speak German), PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!
The staff are aggressive, arrogant, not attentive and even racist. Our family with 2 kids sat for 10-15 mins and I requested to order and the guy in red-white striped shirt shouted “10 mins please” and never came back to us in the next 30 mins. During that time I tried to wave for attention multiple times but he saw and just ignored. The worst part is he ignored us and another table of Asian people who arrived a bit earlier than us; and surprisingly, he came to take orders other 2-3 tables (of locals/ westerners) who came in after us and sat next to us. When I came inside and ask another staff why it took so long, the guy came out and blamed us for not sitting in a table closer to the entrance. I asked why other tables next to us got to order and get the dishes served, he just repeated "you need to sit here". Speaking to 2 different staff and seeing their discriminating behavior and disrespectful attitude, we walked away. We wasted 1 hour on them and went to another restaurant nearby to get served in 10 mins.
To the restaurant manager, if you read this, please check on this on the night of 29Apr around 9pm. I truly hope your staff won’t let this happen to anyone else again, given your central location with many...
Read moreWe visited Bratwurstherzl following several glowing recommendations, eager to see if it lived up to its reputation. Opting for an early dinner, we were initially greeted by a calm and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for an intimate start to our meal. However, as the evening unfolded, the place began to fill up, and the lively ambiance added a dynamic energy that made our experience even more enjoyable. The service was nothing short of outstanding, with every member of the staff attentive and courteous, ensuring that all our needs were met with genuine care. Both our waiter and waitress were particularly delightful, combining professionalism with warmth, which added a personal touch to the evening.
The drinks were crafted to perfection, and we were thoroughly impressed by the variety on offer. The menu itself presented a wide array of tempting options, each dish seeming more appealing than the last, and we were pleased to find that the pricing was very reasonable for the quality provided. As the night went on, we enjoyed not only the delicious food but also the company of friends, with the inviting atmosphere enhancing our entire experience.
In the end, what truly stood out was the seamless combination of excellent food, a welcoming setting, and exemplary service. Every detail contributed to a memorable visit that we would not hesitate to repeat. This restaurant certainly deserves its praise, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a great...
Read moreWe were looking for a place to have a Bavarian dinner near Marienplatz and this was one of the few that weren't booked all night and looked like it had a lot of locals. Therefore, we tested our luck and got a table shortly. We sat right next to a table of local Germans who were having some heated conversation with huge steins in their hands. That is always a good sign, right?
We ended up getting Beef goulash, veal schnitzel, Grill combo and noodles with gravy for my son. They also gave us pretzels for the table but turned out it was not free! They counted how many pretzels you had and charged accordingly.
Nevertheless, the food here was actually pretty good and came in big portion. My husband's grill combo came with pork chop and sausages and they have the natural charcoal flavor to them. I ordered a side salad and it also includes their "potato salad" and they were unique from the American version but more delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with the goulash's flavor and overall prices. You would think a place right at Victualienmarkt would charge you an arm and a leg but they don't. I would definitely recommend coming here if you have been to beer garden already for a...
