Made a reservation online for 6pm and called them to see if I could move it to 7pm (this was also the day of daylight savings time) and I asked if 7pm was ok - the guy on the phone stated it was originally for 7pm but on my email confirmation it read 6pm so I figured it would be ok. When I walked in at 7 - I was greeted by a woman who did not seem very keen on servicing me when I said I was here for my reservation so I waited outside until my table was ready for two and was brought to a table by a tall, older man and I asked him if there was a chance I could switch tables because the way we were seated - it would be too cramped/ we would block one of the isles where the waiters need to get by. He rudely told me that’s not happening, he can move the chair to block another couple in and also due to me being late, I was lucky I could be seated where I was. I was really excited to eat here from all the raving reviews but turns out I don’t think they enjoy Americans in their restaurant and will never recommend this place for customer service or warmth. Did give him a taste of his own medicine but seriously? Life is too short to be rude...

This is an excellent, authentic Bavarian restaurant. They came prepared with full English menus, and the atmosphere was excellent. Ornate, spiraled wood adorned the restaurant, old jugs of tea leaves filled the shelves, and the checkerboard tablecloth enhanced the Bavarian feel.

I enjoyed the beef broth, liver dumpling, chives, and carrot soup. The broth was tasty but not over-salted, and the dumpling was like bread but did not become soggy. For the main course, I had a pan-fried potato, pork, onion, lemon and compound butter dish.

The breakfast sandwich with wheat bread, bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, and tangy mayonnaise was my favorite dish. The bread was crispy (and maybe too hard) but soft on the inside. The egg was the perfect balance between cooked and runny. Overall, the flavors complimented each other and made for an excellent dish.

Our server was friendly and kind who made for a no-pressure lunch experience. The staff even let us run to the bathroom before the restaurant opened!

It’s a great place to get quality Bavarian...

We're staying at a hotel down the street and decided to give this place a try. It far exceeded our expectations. It's an off the beaten path hidden gem chock full of locals and a grandmother you want to take home with you. We ordered the first special on the menu, the potato dish allgau style; it featured roasted chicken with cheese and potatoes. My sister and I split this meal and the waitress was kind enough to split it for us. One meal was more than enough for two people. The potatoes were perfectly roasted along with onions, mushrooms, and pancetta. The chicken was roasted to perfection and covered with cheese. The pan sauce was beautiful. The atmosphere inside is cozy and extremely clean. Outside was also very nice and delightful on a cool evening. The staff was accommodating of our English and very kind. Again, the photo is one meal split into two. We had a wonderful experience and wish we had this restaurant on our continent so we could visit...

I had a really enjoyable experience at this restaurant. The dish I ordered was both tasty and beautifully presented, with a generous portion of fresh vegetables cooked just right and nicely complemented by the crispy breaded bites on top. Everything was seasoned well and felt homemade, which made it very satisfying. Paired with a cold beer, it was exactly the kind of hearty yet flavorful meal I was hoping for. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and cozy, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy your time. The candlelight and small details on the table created a welcoming touch. The staff also deserves a mention—they were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. It really added to the overall positive experience. If you’re looking for a place with good food, a comfortable setting, and genuinely nice service, I can definitely recommend stopping by here.
