This is an excellent, authentic Bavarian restaurant. They came prepared with full English menus, and the atmosphere was excellent. Ornate, spiraled wood adorned the restaurant, old jugs of tea leaves filled the shelves, and the checkerboard tablecloth enhanced the Bavarian feel. I enjoyed the beef broth, liver dumpling, chives, and carrot soup. The broth was tasty but not over-salted, and the dumpling was like bread but did not become soggy. For the main course, I had a pan-fried potato, pork, onion, lemon and compound butter dish. The breakfast sandwich with wheat bread, bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, and tangy mayonnaise was my favorite dish. The bread was crispy (and maybe too hard) but soft on the inside. The egg was the perfect balance between cooked and runny. Overall, the flavors complimented each other and made for an excellent dish. Our server was friendly and kind who made for a no-pressure lunch experience. The staff even let us run to the bathroom before the restaurant opened! It’s a great place to get quality Bavarian food! #Ellipsis #EllipsisTravel #NotaPaidPartnership #NPP

We're staying at a hotel down the street and decided to give this place a try. It far exceeded our expectations. It's an off the beaten path hidden gem chock full of locals and a grandmother you want to take home with you. We ordered the first special on the menu, the potato dish allgau style; it featured roasted chicken with cheese and potatoes. My sister and I split this meal and the waitress was kind enough to split it for us. One meal was more than enough for two people. The potatoes were perfectly roasted along with onions, mushrooms, and pancetta. The chicken was roasted to perfection and covered with cheese. The pan sauce was beautiful. The atmosphere inside is cozy and extremely clean. Outside was also very nice and delightful on a cool evening. The staff was accommodating of our English and very kind. Again, the photo is one meal split into two. We had a wonderful experience and wish we had this restaurant on our continent so we could visit more frequently!

This is a very nice, small restaurant that lies on a relatively quite street close to the city center. During covid times seats are mainly available outside on the sidewalk. This was not distracting and we barely noticed the foot traffic. The prices are completely fine. Calculate 40 to 50€ euros for adults as long as no one buys an expensive steak meal. We had a Schnitzel and a Spezialpfanne which we would both recommend. I would advise calling 30min prior just to make sure you get a table without having to wait. The staff was very kind and warm-hearted and we had no problem with prolonged absences between ordering drinks, food and receiving the food. Overall would recommend to everyone looking for traditional german foods. 5☆☆☆☆ justified.

Flavour, portion, price, all excellent. Recommended! I ordered the Liebighof special: potatoes cooked with bacon and onions, Black Angus steak and two eggs. The flavours were amazing, the steak was perfect medium, nice and pink and the eggs were great as well. Note, that this is quite heavy, so if you are not used to this kind of food, you might wanna try something lighter. I got it quickly, although the restaurant wasn't too busy anyway. The waiter was also friendly, his English was great and they had English menu too. All in all a great experience.

I travel 20 days in Europe and I must give my 2 thumbs up for this restaurant and the service staffs! Amazing service and amazing food! Fresh salad were served before my main course arrives! Beer is fresh as well! It is worth every euro spend here! Highly recommended! We had black angus steak and pork steak. I asked for medium rare for angus steak, its turns out to be exactly what i ask for. And the pork steak is fresh as well with abit of pinkish at the center... nicely cooked!

Great place to try traditional German food with a twist. We found it by chance one late night looking for an open kitchen (most close early 9pm) and fell in love with it. After that we had dinner there for five straight nights with our friends and tried most of the menu. We were pleasently surprised by most of what we tried. Deer Medallions is a must along with the schnitzel of course. Amazing service by the girls and homey atmosphere. We will surely go back when in Múnich.
