Each bite of the dough made me feel sick to my stomach. It was actual torture trying to eat this dough, my teeth and belly hurt at each bite however I forced myself to finish it as I do not condone food waste. The dough was strangely dry but also moist; it kind of tasted like flour and water with maple syrup. I even found a humoungous knob of butter they were not bothered to mix in. Consistency hollistically resembled play do. Upon tasting it I realised it was vegan butter, which might explain the strange taste, but my dough had no vegan sign, so this is absolutely false advertisement. I would not be surprised if it was gluten free, too. The chocolate chips, to say the least, looked like they were gone off however they were still the only relatively average part of this disappointing snack. I am quite an avid cookie dough fan but was disappointed as I could not feel the crunch of the sugar beneath my teeth. Ben and Jerrys, on the other hand, would never disappoint. Moreover, there was flour scattered over the counter and some underage girls smoking outside- how irrresponsable! The waitress was lovely and the shop was quite homely however I believe I have food poisoning now. Do not recommend. The prices are absurd. My friend was right all along.
Edit: It appears I have been mistaken however in my defense why was there a knob of butter in the first place? Moreover it does not change the fact of the terrible aftertaste and stomach hurt... And you did not adress the fact of the girls...
Read moreDapkies is heaven for all dessert lovers! They have a great selection of cookie dough flavors, freshly baked cookies and crookies (a croissant and cookie merge).
After choosing the cup size, you decide on the cookie dough flavors, and you have the option to add different toppings and sauces for an additional price.
The cookie dough is smooth and not grainy at all, the perfect texture. Sadly, the flavours lacked a punch. The flavor of their bestseller, chocolate chip, was not distinguishable, and the pistachio flavor lacked any hint of pistachio. The standout flavor was bueno, which was clearly recognizable and enjoyable.
However, at those high prices, I was expecting to be blown away. Instead, I felt a bit ripped off, as they left a huge gap in the cup and did not fill the bottom up at all. In addition, at least 1-2 toppings should have been included in the price to make this a truly memorable experience for anyone tasting cookie dough for...
Read moreDuring my recent trip to Dapkies, I got to indulge again in their famous cookie dough! It had been just over 2 years since my last visit. This time I had the Classic Chocolate Chip cookie dough it was delicious. The texture was perfectly smooth and the chocolate chips were abundant and rich. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients - they weren't kidding about using fresh and regional products. I topped my Classic Chocolate Chip with some crushed schokolinsen (smarties) which created a delightful texture contrast. I was impressed by their extensive menu featuring both regular and vegan options like Dark Dough, Caramel, Nutella, Peanut Butter, Lotus Dream, Lemon Cake, and Bitter Almond Pistachio. The children had one of the chocolate chip cookies and they really enjoyed that also. If you're in the area and have a sweet tooth, Dapkies is definitely worth the visit! Pestalozzistrasse 7,...
