Today I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say, it was an awesome experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the chic and cozy decoration. The ambiance was just perfect for a romantic evening. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly friendly and can speak english, german and of course persian. They were attentive and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. As an appetizer, we ordered the "tahdig gheimeh," and it was absolutely delicious. The crispy rice paired with the flavorful stew was a delightful combination. It set the tone for what was to come. For our main course, we opted for the classic kebab with rice and two small portions of "khoresht." The flavors were rich and authentic, truly capturing the essence of Iranian cuisine. However, while the kebab was good, I felt it could have been even better. Nonetheless, the overall meal was satisfying and left us craving more. To end our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the ice cream, a pistatio flavor I had never tasted before. It was a delightful surprise, and I appreciated the restaurant's willingness to offer unique and intriguing selections. The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seating options. we preferred to dine outdoore. But if you like to eat indoor, the air conditioner keeps the temperature pleasant, allowing you to relax and enjoy your meal without any discomfort. The choice of Iranian music playing in the background was a lovely touch. It wasn't loud, which enhanced our overall enjoyment of the evening. The soothing melodies transported us to Iran and added to the romantic ambiance of the restaurant. To complement our meal, we ordered a gin with pomegranate. The drink had a distinct flavor that reminded me of home in Iran. It was a delightful pairing with the food and added a touch of authenticity to the experience. I must mention that the price of the dishes was slightly on the higher side. However, considering the lovely ambiance, attentive service, and the overall romantic experience, I believe it was worth it. The restaurant provided an unforgettable evening that left us with wonderful memories. In conclusion, I highly recommend this Iranian restaurant for its chic and cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious cuisine. While the kebab and rice could have been improved, the overall experience was delightful and romantic. It's a perfect place to indulge in Iranian flavors and create beautiful memories.

A Munich MUST TRY…. It’s a tantalizing experience for all the senses! Can I give 100 stars?!? I would if I could. How does one nominate a restaurant for a Michelin Star?!? I could write pages, but here’s the bottom line: 1- Authentic and DELICIOUSLY DEVINE Persian food, not just kabobs… you can taste every part of various regional Persian dishes too! 2- The wait staff are happy to explain anything on their vast menu with more options you could consume in a visit, with great vegan selections too (even with the many sampling options, there is just so much to taste. I LOVED THAT!) 3- The selection of carefully crafted Persian influenced cocktails, Teas, coffee, wines, and beers are bar non. They even have several non-alcoholic options too! 4- Tasteful, warm and welcoming staff and decor (The Owner Sarah is beyond a star!) 5- Front room, back room, private basement for large groups, and a very refreshing patio for outdoor dining. 6- No detail is spared, no higher quality ingredients are used!! So much safe on in every dish and drink, they should charge far more for their delightful offerings! 6- Lastly, it’s location is prime to old town Munich and right across from St.Luke’s Church. The 1877 building has so March charm, yet fully modernized and impeccably kept. Can’t say enough about and wish we were local frequent more regularly.

Best Iranian Restaurant outside of Tehran. As an Iranian American who lives in Salt Lake City I love to try out Iranian Restaurants around the world. In Munich I had the chance to try 4 different persian restaurants and Tahdig is DEFINITELY my favorite persian restaurant in Munich and this is the reason why: 1. Location: located in a beautiful area of the city the building is like a museum! 2. Decorations: Just WOW! So modern and still so persian! Lots of wonderful Iranian art 3. Staff: I have rarely experienced such a lovely, friendly and nice staff. The guy I have been talking to was named Ali. Great experience 4. Food: MOST IMPORTANT the food experience was sooooooooo good that if I would live in Munich I would eat here every day. Gheimeh was like my Mom's and Ghormeh Sabzi tasted like the one from my Grandma. I also had Abgusht Dizi which we never can get in Salt Lake City and it was fabulous. Also Kal Kabab was something that I had never eaten before and it was fantastic! I came here nearly every day. I will be back sometime and I would like to thank you guys for this amazing experience.

Despite the wonderful atmosphere and decoration the food is not that good. Feswnjoon anemd gheymeh were too oily. You could see a layer of 5mm oil on the top. The taste of gheymeh was good but fesenjoon was nothing special. Ghormeh sabzi and beh albaloo stews were too watery. You could easily see how diluted they were and therefore the ingredients were apart. The taste of both these two were ok. We ordered chenjeh and we got barg which was not so bad but the worst thing was that the kababs both joojeh kabab and barg/chenjeh were way too salty. I have a high tolerance with salt but this case was not easy to deal with. To me only the ghalyeh kadoo was of good taste and texture. We also ordered a starter mix which was never delivered and was also not in the bill. The common mistake that we have seen so many times in many restaurants where the waiter or waitress does not write down the order and tries to memorize it and this happens. Finally I find this place overrated at least with the current quality.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was truly authentic, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The atmosphere was delightful, creating a pleasant ambiance that I loved. Though I'm a bit particular about food temperature, I found the rice and lamb to be slightly cold, which could have been improved by serving them warmer. The rice was good, but the beans could have been cooked better. Despite these minor points, I must say that the overall experience was fantastic. I must highlight the "kal-e-kabab," which was absolutely delicious. Additionally, the "Tahdig with Gheymeh" provided a delightful experience reminiscent of authentic Persian restaurants in Iran. I highly recommend giving this place a visit!

This is an excellent dining experience. The classical Iranian decor is beautiful. There’s pictures of Iranian architecture and history. The booths are comfy, with ornate Iranian pillows. Art pieces adorn the walls for an excellent open-air dining experience. Our waitress was very professional, understanding, and knowledgeable of the menu. He consistently gave us water and explained the menu items to us because we were very unfamiliar with Iranian cuisine. The food was exceptional. We enjoyed marinated lamb skewers, fresh cucumber, salads, saffron Basmati rice, fresh lentils, yogurt sauce, excellent homemade bread, and pomegranate chicken. The ingredients are VERY fresh and flavorful. All this was served to us at a very reasonable price. Four of us ate heaps of food for £125! I’ll be back :)
