I recently had the worst dining experience of my life at this restaurant, where I was discriminated against and treated unfairly compared to white customers. When we entered, the waitress told us we needed to wait 20 minutes before she could take our order because their system was closed. However, a group of white people came in right after us, and the same waitress immediately took their order. Our group of four Korean ordered four dishes and four drinks, but only one dish and the drinks arrived after 45 minutes. After waiting another hour, we asked about the rest of our food. The waitress responded extremely rudely and arrogantly, admitting she had forgotten to place the order for the remaining dishes, without offering any apology. Throughout our time there, the waitress ignored our attempts to make eye contact to order drinks, yet she was always busy and kind around white customers. We paid for the one dish and the drinks we received and left ourselves since the waitress continued ignoring our request to order. In total, we spent almost 3 hours there and experienced blatant unfair treatment. This racist experience made us feel really bad and deeply disappointed. I wouldn't recommend going there if you're not white to avoid discrimination and huge disappointment, as everyone goes to a restaurant for a pleasant experience. The lack of basic customer service and courtesy was shocking and unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different place where all customers are treated...
Read moreThe place is not worth its overpriced dishes and drinks. I was served together with my friend laghman. It was written that it is Hand-Made Noodles, but in reality we got perfectly made thin noodles. Truly Hand-Made Noodles are a bit thicker and have texture and taste better. One who tried laghman and is familiar with Uyghur cuisine can distinguish the quality of the authentic laghman. At first we didn't say anything, we ate without any complaint. But later, we realized that it is unfair that they keep lying to their guests and charging for it almost 16€.
We asked the waiter to tell about it to the owner. He said okay and after a while he said that we should talk ourselves with the owner. When we finally approached the owner, the owner ( a women) started saying rudely that we don't know anything about new techniques. She kept asking us whether we know anything about techniques. Of course we know how hand-made noodles are usually made (with hands). But she refused to listen to us. Please, don't waste your money and time there. It was my first time there and it is my final now.
I would highly recommend to visit another Uyghur restaurant called Kashgar not far from Munich Central Station. They have truly authentic dishes and prices are really good as...
Read moreThis place is not authentic anymore. I used to come here since they opened, but now they serve fake lagman. Better try "Kashgar" near main station or "Tengri Tagh" near Goetheplatz. I suppose the place is going down since they are less and less people dining in there.
And if you are considering working here, please, keep in mind that there are is high waiter turn-over. My favourite ones are gone now. The dishes look like they are understaffed in the kitchen too. The owner is using machine-made noodles now despite the menu saying that they are hand-made. And noodles being hand-made is an essential part of an authentic lagman.
I tried to talk to the owner/manager about noodles, she got defensive and irritated: "Do you know ALL noodles techniques in the world? We always try new techniques." Well, lady, the question is irrelevant, one doesn't need to know all the noodle techniques in the world to tell apart a machine-made and hand-made noodles. See the photos, the difference is obvious. If she treats customers like this, I can only imagine how bad it is for the employees to work for someone this mean...
