this was one of the best menu serving experiences me and my friend ever had. just to make sure everyone gets this right: this restaurant offers you a specific menu of the day (no regular menu to choose from) including a starter, 5 different main course choices and an incredible dessert. the way the staff treated us was just flawless, like we would not have been in a restaurant at all. it just seemed so perfect all the time. It felt like being invited over to an Italian friends house to taste all the delicious dishes their culture has to offer. i had the chance to eat swordfish for the first time and was overwhelmed by the experience. To all the negative comments here, i asked for specific things beforehand and they had no problem with telling me the prices or their handling with certain things. if you do not agree with that kind of service at all, please do not stay in the restaurant and complain afterwards. Just kindly tell the waiter that you didn't expect it and leave. i don't think that they would mind. i can recommend this restaurant 150% and i am looking forward to eating...
Read moreC'era Una Volta is a precious gem on a very quiet street in Nuremberg, Germany . A sturdy wooden door beckons you into an uniquely appointed dining area with just a few tables. Dozens of pictures of famous Italians, many Hollywood's best, adorn the walls. This cozy place was a joy to dine in. The staff were highly professional, obviously well seasoned, helpful, sincere, and made it seem like we were good friends. What a comfortable vibe! The restaurant has a daily menu, with three courses. The first is common to all, the main one is a choice from two to several options, and the third a "small" dessert(not). The pasta dish was fragrant with deliscious garlic. I chose filet, medium, with a wonderful mushroom sauce for the main course, and dessert was not small, plated with perfection, and mouth-watering . I added a nice red wine, mineral water, and capacino. The price was a few Euro's more than other restaurants I've visited in Nuremberg and well worth it. I...
Read moreVery good, pretty authentic Italian. There was a large group of us - 25+ and we were well accommodated. For the price we were well fed with a fresh mozzarella salad, a tasty mushroom pasta dish and then a main of veal which was flavoursome and tender. Due to the size of the group the choice of mains was limited but I heard positive noises from the rest of the group on their choices. We did have a rather naff accordian player come in at one point and was too loud to let us converse. Eventually he left when we gave him enough tips - I think he knows we are paying for him to leave! But after that he had the cheek to come back after a costume change - this time in a flat cap, leather jacket and carrying a keyboard plus a guitar player in tow, safe to say they weren't welcome and the owner quickly booted them...
