As a person who visited at least over 100 Japanese ramen restaurant over the world, ramen here is quite nice. Personally, I think the quality of Ramen is better than Komekome in Nürnberg especially its soup. The soup is well boiled for a long enough time to extract pork‘s flavor and level of saltiness is also good. However, it is wired that I think they use minced potato or starch to increase the soup’s viscosity artificially. It can be a good method because higher viscosity allows soup to stay longer time with noddles when people pick up the noddle but I do not like it because it has some roughly hard feeling on my thought when I taste the soup. Plus, type of noddle is an unwise selection. It is too thick as a ramen noddles. It decreased overall ramen’s taste but increased unwelcome wheat flour smell. The most worse thing here is that they offer really not enough soup for ramen. I ordered extra noddle together when I ordered main ramen for my big hunger. But the soup is just half level of the bowl. So, I have no choice but to order extra soup as well for extra noddle. It took extra 20 min to wait and I had to pay 8 euros ( extra noddle for 3 euros + extra soup for 5 euros). To me It cannot be understandable. Seaweed, egg and grilled pork were very nice. Fried chicken was also well fried and...

I would really like to give Monki 4 stars for the food, but unfortunately had a bad experience regarding my peanut allergy. I ordered the Tan Tan ramen, and after my first spoonful, noticed my allergic reaction starting.
I kindly asked the team if this soup contained peanuts, and they said yes, and "you have to let us know if you have any allergies". I asked if this was clearly indicated on the menu, and they answered no, that the customer needed to inform them if they had any allergies.
FYI -- I was not asked earlier in the evening, but also do not believe it is the customer's responsibility to bring this up, it should be clearly stated on the menu.
They did quickly make me a new bowl of ramen, and I was happy with the food itself, but want to note that service-wise, you shouldn't make the customer feel that it was their mistake they were getting an allergic reaction.
If I had had a severe peanut allergy which required an EpiPen, the consequences could've been far worse.
I would kindly urge you to please add a warning on your menu. It is a very simple fix, and I would love to come back. For the sake of others too, who may have a far more severe...
Read moreFor a place called "Monki" ramen, my expectations were extremely high. Not only was I extremely happy with the pleasant monkey experience they had for me, but the monkeys were numerous as well. When you walk in you are immediately greeted with a wide arrangement of monkeys, from Grey ones, to brown ones, to yellow ones. Monkeys everywhere. Monkeys on the wall paper, Monkeys as wall decor, even Monkeys in the bathroom. I could not be happier.
I have been to many ramen restaurants that do not offer a monkey experience for you to enjoy while eating your meal. I did not realize, prior to my time at Monkey ramen, how vital a Monkey experience was in order to enjoy your meal to the fullest. I will be incorporating Monkeys into my weekly ramen routine -- thank you! 🐒
As a plus, the food was...
