I highly recommend coming here and booking the teppan grill. I had the 5 course menu with yuzu sours and Wagyu steak.
The staff were very attentive, and the plates were in the direction of fine dining. The grilling was entertaining and the chef did a great job.
The WC was clean and easy to access. However, the interior design of the restrooms did not feel well connected to the restaurant. I would like to have seen the Japanese interior design of the restaurant implemented in the restrooms as well.
I enjoyed all of the dishes, but especially the sushi, steak with garlic rice, noodle soup dish, and dessert. I tried both the Argentinian beef and wagyu, as my table ordered both. Both were flavorful, and the sauces complimented them well. The wagyu practically melted in my mouth and was nearly as easy to chew as fish. The Argentinian steak had slightly more chew, but flavor-wise I felt it was nearly as good as the wagyu. I am happy to have tried the Kobe / wagyu, but in the future I would be content with the Argentinian cut and maybe using the extra cost I would have put for wagyu on...
Read moreIn general a good restaurant. Polite and thoughtful waiters and waitresses, but yet a bit distant, which is kinda typical Japanese in my opinion. You can clearly tell how much effort and dedication the owner has given to this place through tiny details.
But not recommended if you are only aiming for sushi or sashimi. This is not a particularly cheap place to have sushi, either is their sushi anything special: try one of their menu instead. They do a nice combination of rather authentic Japanese food having in mind what European stomach would also appreciate.
Deserts are likely to be a bit disappointing but I would argue that this is usually a sign that an Asian restaurant is authentic, believe it or not.
I have read through all the negative comments here and I have to say, most of those are due to a different expectation rather that this place is really...
Read moreWe visited Hashimoto for the first time last night and had an excellent experience. We ordered the menu with all the small appetizers, and the wagyu beef, Kobe style.
It was cooked in front of us by a wonderful chef who paid great attention to detail each step of the way.
Every single dish was flavorful, yet delicate.
If you love food and enjoy trying new dishes, this place is a must go. The waitresses spoke English, at least a little bit, and they tried their best to make sure we had...
