Jules Verne - Saarbrücken — Restaurant in Saarbrücken

Unfortunately, our visit to Jules Verne in Saarbrücken was a rather frustrating experience. The service was uninviting and showed a lack of hospitality. Although our table was right by the bar, you literally had to call the staff to get any attention at all. Unfortunately, there was no atmosphere of service that approached the guests.

It was particularly disappointing that our food arrived more than 90 minutes after we had ordered - and without any apology or explanation. Instead, there were even accusations from the staff that the reservation may have been wrong. The treatment of us as guests was rude and lacking in empathy - completely incomprehensible, considering that as paying guests we expect to be treated with respect.

Overall, the Jules Verne disappointed us in terms of service and communication. Instead of solidarity and open, respectful treatment of guests, there were only unprofessional excuses. There are definitely better alternatives for an experience like this -...

This is definitely one of my favorite bars and cafes in the whole city of saarbrücken. The guy running this place really has that feeling for detail when it comes to interior design. It totally has that (pseudo) run-down Berlin Charme with that arty, playful weird and beautiful Parisian twist. And that’s true for the whole place: from the stalls to the bar, the menus and the decoration. I went there to attend a comedy show and I didn't want to get up in the middle of the show to order drinks. No one came to take the orders. When I went near the counter to order, the waiters didn't agree to serve the drinks at the table so I missed some parts of the comedy show!! And then they asked me to pay right there and didn't accept the debit card which again wasted my time. I mean it's okay not to serve drinks at the table but if we are at a comedy show then drinks should be served at the table atleast!! I'm very disappointed with the service of the...
