Noya - Saarbrücken — Restaurant in Saarbrücken

A peculiar place, a triumph of style over substance, nice furniture and ambiance. Heaven knows what the name is supposed to convey, I had hoped Japanese or at least Asian… no… it has an odd menu which I think could be Middle Eastern (maybe I should have known their motto Life.Love.Levante which suggests that region? Anyway the staff are pleasant and cheerful, and hard working as there are only few. I had a starter of hummus with minced beef/lamb over it and no discernible spice… inoffensive and edible. My main was yoghurt chicken, a very mild chilli tang with tender chicken over a lot of green leeks, potato and mushroom. Really quite good. The wine list is pitiful and the red I chose was barely ok. If you want strange teas then you would be in luck. I noted everyone else seemed happy enough, maybe their company? it is just not my style… It looks like it is a meeting place. Shout out for the staff, very helpful and efficient! Sorry about low score but style needs...

I passed by this restaurant when we had dinner at the other restaurant a few months back and I thought we would give this a try. The coziness , the vibe that gives its interior decorations is just so inviting. The staffs were so nice and really attentive and kind enough to let us chill while waiting for the kitchen to open since we arrived earlier…the food we would say were excellent..my partner loved the tomato mango soup and the chicken breast, my rinderfillet was perfectly served…and not to forget that my partner loved the Hugo cocktail without alcohol ( he is allergic to alcohol) that he ordered it twice!, me as well :) We recommended it to our friends and they said they will definitely pay a visit. Hatte mich montags mit einer kleinen Gruppe (6Pers) hier getroffen. Ich bin der Meinung, dass dieses Lokal so gelassen werden musste wie es vorher war, da es vorher deutlich besser war als dieses komische Konzept jetzt.

Man wird praktisch gezwungen eine Vorspeise, Beilage und Hauptgang zu nehmen da man sonst NICHT SATT WIRD. Wir haben uns nur für einen Hauptgang entschieden, dieser kam an auch an.

Bestellt wurde 1x Lamm… diese waren versalzen und verwürzt. Iwelche grüne Peperoni ausm Lidl als Beilage und ganze Tomaten.

3x Chicken Curry, hier war das auch alles überwürzt und dabei war Lauch, der unkaubar war, weil die Küche den Lauch die „erste Haut“ des Lauches nicht entfernt hat.

1x Pizza, hier kam eine Pide an. Jetzt meine Frage, wieso schreibt man bzw. Verkauft man dies als Pizza, obwohl es eindeutig eine Pide ist. Dies ist auf der Karte natürlich geschrieben, aber wie immer „KLEINGESCHRIEBEN“.

Und als letzte 1x einen Auberginengericht. Dazu muss ich nix sagen, schaut euch einfach die Bilder an.

Später haben wir als Dessert, 2x Crembule bestellt, einer war ok der zweite war Flüssig und somit erst frisch gemacht. Diesen haben wir aber reklamiert, man hat uns einen neuen gebracht, dieser war fester aber eigentlich auch noch nicht verkaufsfähig.

Und 1x einen Schkokuchen mit nem Bällchen Eis, dieser war gut.

Die Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Location bzw. das Lokal an sich ist angenehm und schön gestaltet. Aber leider für die Qualität und die Preise alles mehr schein als sein.

Wie am Anfang erwähnt, haben wir uns an einem Montag getroffen, es war nicht viel los und in der Küche haben wir mind. 5 Köche/Mitarbeiter gezählt. Für soviel Personal solch eine miserable Leistung ist schon schade. Ich bzw. wir waren echt enttäuscht und wissen wo wir nicht mehr hingehen werden. Als ich heim kam, habe ich mir noch was zu essen machen müssen, da ich auf jeden nicht Satt...
