Viet Quan — Restaurant in Saarbrücken

Very disappointing Milk Tea. I love classic Milk Tea and get one in every place I travel, whether it is in Europe or Asia.

So of course I had to get one also in Saarbrücken. So what was so bad about it? It had so little tea that you could barely taste it. The taste was more like artificially sweetened milk.

You can see in the photo that the color is completely off. At first, I just thought the older gentleman forgot to put it inside, so I asked him, and he said no, he didn't forget.

He was correct; the tea was indeed inside, but since such a small amount was used, it was completely overpowered by milk and sugar.

I've tried a few various options, and they were all good so far. Coconut milk soup is always bomb ( the picture is pretty much a vegan version of tom kha). Pho mix (noodle in tom kha-alike soup) was good but not something so exceptional. Their bun cha is definitely the best.

Restaurant is very good looking and organized with clean restrooms.

One thing I dislike is the slow service. Takes too long to get my order, and the server will never bring your check until you bug him. But he absolutely is professional...

The food here is delightful. Rich and delicious with a variety of dishes. My husband loves the phó here. The service is always great and the server is super, genuinely friendly. The owners/couple (?) that do all the cooking are Vietnamese so that says it all. 😊 The restaurant is very well maintained, always clean, and has a peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend Viet Quan. I only regret that I didn't post my review sooner since we've been coming here almost 2...
